Re: what are you reading?
Axelle Carolyn - It Lives Again - Horror Movies In the New Millenium Brilliant book, very well written, showing links from social unease, the threat of terrorism and conumer fears to the influence on horror films. I can not reccomend this enough, best £16.99 I have ever spent. Well researched, good...

Re: films we just saw
Dance of the Dead DVD review should be on here soon Loved this, great affiliation with the characters, starts off as a teen prom-com but veers off into a wild zombie film with some very inventive deaths and creatively done. Paranormal Entity Paranormal this, Paranormal that, how about getting a new...

Re: DVD WORLD..DO NOT BUY!!
I'd quite happily chip in a few reviews every month, I don't want anything for it and the recognition that the small part I play in making a possible magazine a success would be payment enough for me. FrightFest has plenty of knowledgeable people but i'm happy to do my share to speak to the newbie a...

Re: DVD WORLD..DO NOT BUY!!
Count me in.... I'd write reviews in the style of me reccomending (or not) films to see as if I was having this conversation with my friends. I can never compete with people whose knowledge of the horror genre far exceeds mine nor would I ever attempt to. Any review written by me will always be base...

Re: DVD WORLD..DO NOT BUY!!
This is why I don't buy magazines, I can find out what I need to know online so much quicker.
Anyone else of the belief that sometime soon that magazines will become redundant (starting with GZ hopefully!!)

Re: Scariest Horror Scenes
Dark Water was probably the one film that got me interested in Japanese horror. Scary bits, hmmmm Drag Me To Hell as the demon is in the house and the shadow appears under the door and appears to work it's way into the room and she backs away towards the window and it's outside, looking in at her. T...
Re: [REC.2]
No and nor would I wish too, was not really a fan of the original. Although the one where the lamp got posessed was a classic

Re: Scariest Horror Scenes
The kids in The Brood, that terrified me, still does even now.
And the door slamming in The Entity as the poltergeist attacks her and you can see what looks like invisible hand prints pressing into her naked skin.
I do like a good scary movie, the more jumps the better

Re: [REC.2]
Any reason for another remake of this?
Re: [REC.2]
Interesting how it has changed so dramatically My view on remakes is that sometimes it's damned if you do, damned if you don't. If you make it like for like, you get shot down for not putting your own spin on it. Change it slightly and it's "innacurate to the original" ie trying to copy it...
