Re: FrightFest October 2020

Gets a huge thumbs up here. Like many I was deliberating on whether or not to go to Leicester Square if it went ahead and would probably have only taken a chance on a couple of films at best. This way I can pick and choose to my hearts content. Obviously its not ideal but looking on the bright side....

Re: Sky Sharks

It just about scraped a 5/10 here. The opening looked promising with Lynn Lowry and Robert LeSardo exchanging religious notes and the subsequent massacre was enjoyable enough but after that it all went downhill for me. Half the American actors had German accents, unnecessary flashbacks that seemed t...

Re: HOW TO WATCH

Yup, I've been fixed by cancellation of the short film bookings. ...and successfully booked my choices, then booked the shorts. Hmm... I bought the pass, booked the two short film showcases... and now it won't let me book anything else. "This pass has already been used to reserve a ticket to an eve...

Re: FrightFest August

Right, so my weird dream I had back in April (see about 10 posts above this one) is about to come partially true in that there will be a digital Frightfest weekend in August which will make use of social distancing by taking place in my living room instead of the Empire Leicester Square? Same questi...

Re: FrightFest August

I had this weird dream last night in which Frightfest was told by the powers that be that it could go ahead this year as long as the organisers applied social distancing. So there had to be an empty seat in-between each person. I woke up in a cold sweat thinking about the moment the tickets went on ...

Re: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

I enjoyed this although didn't feel the spooky tales were really strong enough to warrant the 15 rating awarded by the BBFC. I suggested as much to my group afterwards and said I thought a 12A rating would be more in line with the target audience but was met with a "no Eddie, 15 is about right" so w...

Re: Come to Daddy

A slow burn start that quickly picked up once dad started throwing a load of 'c' words in Elijah Wood's direction. Although it was also around this point that I guessed what the first twist was going to be. Overall though it was an entertaining way to start the festival with plenty of laughs (at som...

Re: Crawl

I just have to remember next time I'm trapped by an alligator in my bathroom to get it into the shower then slide the glass door shut. An hour or two cooling off like that will teach the pesky reptile a sobering lesson before I slide the door (or what's left of it) back open and allow it to slink of...

Re: Parking

Just sorted my parking out and saved over £60 with that discount! So yes Ian, think I'll be buying a Frightfest 20th anniversary t-shirt this year (last time I bought one was for the 10th anniversary so it's long overdue) :D

Yeah, cheers Ian. As always that discount gives me a bit more money to spend on the Arrow stall!

Re: Where are you sitting?

Morning all Now seems like a good time to kick-off the annual “where are you sitting” threat. After yesterday’s ticketing challenges, what seat or seats did you end up with? We will be down in A38, 41, 42 and 43. Chris I don't know how you can sit that close to the screen Chris. You'll get neck ach...

Re: 2019 Ticket info.

I wasn't even planning on getting the tickets for our group this year (my mum passed away ten days ago so I've been busy sorting out all the funeral arrangements, closing accounts and shit). In fact I'd completely forgotten they went on sale today until I got an email reminding me one of our lot was...
