Re: Dead Cert

I thought this was quite entertaining, but the dodgy accent and the crap looking vampire teeth ruined it a bit. I also find it difficult to see how they spent $1 Million on it also. Not a patch on The Disappeared or Heartless from last year.

Re: Buried

Im really sorry we couldn't see A Serbian Film, but Buried was excellent. I thought it was one of the best films of the festival and I'm a bit claustrophobic !! Believable and intense.

Re: Goodie bag

I turned the Infestation tee into a duster, works well. and I'm campaigning for smaller t-shirts, I'm pretty slim and don't want something that looks like a marquee on me lol the Saw blood mouse mat was cool last year, apart from that though, the 08 goodie bags were definitely better, more stuff an...

Re: Goodie bag

I still have the SAW VI mouse mat from last year. Im still using it, but all the squidgy stuff has kind of flattened out, but I got a lot of use out of it. Hope we get another mouse mat, I need another one. If anyone has S or M Tees they want to swap with the L or XL I will probably end up with I wi...

Re: Where are you sitting?

Outsider, I take my hat off to you, because I have thought about what it would be like to do FFest on my own and I find it really hard to imagine to be honest. I was wondering if being a guy makes it a bit easier because a girly standing around on her own looks weirder somehow, I don't know. I've se...

Re: Goodie bag

The two T-Shirts I got were absolutely huge. They must have been XXL or something. Like tents they were. Good for wearing in bed as a night dress when chilly or feeling ill and you're covered in vic vapour rub or to lounge at home in with over-knee socks and comfortable knickers :D (I don't mean app...

Re: what dvds are we buying?

I recently bought THE CHASER which I saw at FFest for a fiver at HMV, but after looking for the original series of The Fantastic 4 (1978) and seeing it in HMV for nearly £20 to then find exactly the same thing on amazon for £11.99 and also finding out that all the Doctor Who DVDs are much cheaper on...

Re: so has anyone decided what film's they're gonna watch yet?

I always write down my initial 'Definitely List' of films that instantly grab my attention when they are first put up on the FF website. My Definitely List is --- TEXAS CHAINSAW M (of course) / TOTAL ICON TOBE HOOPER / I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE / MONSTERS / DREAM HOME / WE ARE WHAT WE ARE / A SERBIAN FIL...

Re: Where are you sitting?

Blue Slushies (Dont know how available they will be for fright fest, but if they are there, I will consume a minimum of 1 per film) I didn't see a Slush Puppy Machine at FF last year. Will there be one this year? Raspberry (the blue flavour) is my favourite and it is my favourite non-alcoholic drin...

Re: Where are you sitting?

3rd Row from the Front : ( A bit too close to the screen for my liking although there is a bit of a stage in front of us. We didn't even wait that long to buy our passes and I was surprised they sold as quickly as they did. There were no other seats available for festival passes according to the cin...

Nazi Zombies (Vile Undead in Sexy Uniforms)

One of my favourite films of the festival. Great fun, very gorey, well made, great scenery and a film requiring not too much thinking (and I don't mean that in a bad way) - Entertaining from start to finish.

Excellent.

GOOD FUN

I thought this was good fun, but extremely predictable. There were some tense and scary bits, which were well timed and the hospital setting as always, gave me the willies. However, it wasn't a patch on Trailer Park of Terror by a long chalk, but it was worth seeing and one of the best on the day. H...

i think that everybody talks about Martyrs mainly because of one reason - all the hype it got it Cannes, everybody was hearing - another French one, breaking all the rules - so it was like - omg, that has to be great! but come on! I had not seen any of the hype for this film before seeing it and pe...

Re: TORTURE Prawn LABEL UNJUSTIFIED

My viewpoint remains the same. I dont view Martyrs as "important", definitely not "something than needed to be made", or "profound" - I save those words for real-life events. At the same time I appreciate that we all see things in very different ways and I'm not saying I'm "right" in my views and p...
