Re: Getting to know you...

Have you got a title in mind for this disturbing masterpiece? Death with a Bushy Tail? Blood and Acorns? or maybe just Dawn of the Squirrels or Squirrel Holocaust. I imagine the end result being something like Isolation, but with more fur. We could probably bait the BBFC into red flagging it just by...

Re: Getting to know you...

Is it not a giant squirrel that kills the girl behind the curtain in Cloverfield?
I swear that's what it looks like.

Re: Primal

Thanks for that, It does actually look right up my sci-fi-horror street. I agree Death Race 2 was actually a lot better than expected, in a stupid guilty pleasure kind of way, more of another remake than a sequel- I wonder if that's anything to do with the copyright fuss over the Statham/Lovejoy one...

Re: Primal

Not to be confused with Primevil, released the same week.
Anybody heard anything about that one, I ticked the wrong box on this months order and now look forward to receiving this non-fest movie that doesn't even warrant inclusion in the pack shots, it's my own fault though- dozy cunt.

Re: what dvds are we buying?

I quite like Botched- It's very silly and comedy is pretty much it's only selling point, but it's worth watching and worth a pound, damn I think I paid nearly three times that for my copy! My monthly shopping list is now more notable by what I'm not buying, I've had to let a few titles go (including...

Re: F

F was pure undiluted awesome, Carpenter meets King on British soil. Peerless.

It's certainly not out on dvd anytime soon, although I just ordered Night of the Demons, which will be hitting the shops second week of October.

Re: anyone else tired of crappy remakes ?

And watch the originals! The number of people who will stand up and defend films like The Crazies remake, saying it's not too bad, or it's actually pretty scary, and people like me should stop being so mean. All of the above may well be true, but as soon as they reveal that they never have, and nev...

Re: anyone else tired of crappy remakes ?

Dont' get me started, I just about did this arguement to death on the "films everyone loves..." thread. I recently watched both versions of The Taking of Pelham one two three The remake isn't bad, it just doesn't have the magic of the original, it also doesn't choose to retain some of the most notab...

I've managed to kick that filthy Damned habit, now moved on to generous helpings of Roots Manuva and Rancid.

Re: Bruce Campbell planning a horror version of The Expendables

Oh please, please, please let this happen- It's the the best Idea I've heard since 3D sci-fi porn, and I might have dreamt that one.

And we gotta have Michael Berryman... with big bushy eyebrows and a moustache.

"I em tha laoow" ha ha ha... bollocks! put your helmet back on you stroke faced primadonna.

I think It's a Stallone problem, I'm struggling to think of an exception to the "Stallone kills more films than bad guys" rule, but I got nothing.

Re: films we just saw

Mr Street, as always, makes a good point, in his own characteristically ernest way. Blockbusters are indeed all about the new releases, and although they'll cover them quite well (for a very limited time), they dont retain them in the library into the future, they've also spent the last few years se...
