Re: The Innkeepers

What a perfectly crafted chiller this was! My second favourite film of the festival.

Re: Human Centipede II

Self appointed moral guardians, far more disturbing than any horror film.

I agree with Critter Egg that the classification they provide is needed, but it should be on a sliding scale where the extreme end is uncensored.

"Let England Shake" - PJ Harvey. Started off great and is sounding even better with repeated listens.

Re: Annoying Movie Goers

If someone opened a cinema with ushers and a zero tollerance on antisocial behaviour during a screening I'd go there all the time. As they wont, it's beers and blu-ray round mine

Probably Saw 3, I really enjoyed that one. After that they all seem to merge into one for me.

Re: A Serbian Film - PULLED from line-up

I'm looking forward to hearing the reactions from you guys who are going to the screening tomorrow night. I too am refusing to download an indie film, and anyway I think I'd prefer to watch this one in a room full of other horror fans.

Re: A Serbian Film - PULLED from line-up

FWIW: my most recent so-called "thoughts" about A Serbian Film are up on the FF blog page: http://www.frightfest.co.uk/richard'srandomi.html "Once A Serbian Film had been effectively banned until the cuts were imposed, it became a must-see on the internet torrent sites - where, obviously, it can be...

I'm looking forward to this, and I know there are some good people involved in the project so it seems promising.

Re: Damned By Dawn

I agree Ade, the Banshee grandmother was great - more physical effects like that would have helped this film.

Did you see the Short Film Showcase? I thought there was plenty of promise for the future there.

Re: Short Film Showcase

I really enjoyed the Short Film Showcase and it really felt like this is the kind of thing Frightfest is about, films made by horror fans beign clapped and cheered by horror fans. It felt like a festival all the way through. Switch was great, I didn't see the twist coming but perhaps I should have d...

Re: We Are What We Are

A really good film and a worthy inclusion at Frightfest, it went a bit flat for me in the second half - but an enjoyable watch none-the-less.

Re: Damned By Dawn

I'm usually reticent to be too harsh on a film, but this was terrible. I'm glad others enjoyed it but I really thought it was rubbish. I could forgive the bad acting, the amount of irrelevant padding in the script and the horrible lead female character that i wished death on in every scene - but wha...
