Re: Growing wonderfully wickeder

I lost it with Barker around the time of the Harold Robbinsy Galilee and Coldheart Canyon I didn't enjoy at all. I agree with Daveroughcut that The Art, Imajica and Weaveworld are brilliant, but they are all a long time ago now. While King might not have produced a masterpiece in a while, his books...

Whoa! *Mod hat on* Why shameful and despicable? Strong words, but why? You need to back up that kind of statement, really.

Bitch would have made for a better 90 min film
Why did you think the other two sucked but Bitch didn't? Because of the tone shifts I'm wondering how much taste plays a part here.

Re: films we just saw

Been lucky enough to see an advance screening of Insidious, the new film from James Wan and Leigh Wannel and I want to shout about it till the timbers rattle. It's brilliant! I must have jumped about six times. Don't expect another Saw, there's no gore at all. But this is a brilliantly made spook s...

'Spit it out or I'll cut it out': Machete Maidens Unleashed

Okay, my apologies for mangling one amazing and oft-repeated line from the Machete Maidens Unleashed documentary.

What did you think to it and are you generally a documentary fan?

Hobo with a Shotgun @FrightFest Glasgow

The Rutger came, the Rutger saw, the Rutger shot... and shot and shot!

What did everyone think to Jason Eisener's colourful film?

Personally, I like a little more fear in my films, but this was certainly done with pizzazz. And I did love the kebabies...

Exorcismus - can i borrow that winchester? They ram every Exorcist rip off moment into the first act and then try and go Emily Rose. Also as it is from the producers of Rec someone thought it would be an idea to copy the camera style despite it not being a found footage film. Now i do not have any ...

Growing wonderfully wickeder

After reading Stephen King's Full Dark, No Stars recently (and loving it), I was wondering:

Which horror writer / director has developed most during their careers and how?
