Re: Incident in a Ghostland

Laugier needs another idea than just taking a couple of actresses and punching them in the head for 9 minutes How about taking a couple of actresses and punching them in the head for 10 minutes? should have read 90 minutes obviously! Same joke applies though; Laugier's new idea after punching...

The trouble with having audience voting is that the audience won't have seen every film, whereas people on the organising team have.
I can't say for sure, but I would put money on not one of the organising team having seen every film.

Re: Frightfest Awards

I've never understood the Total Film 'Awards' as they seem to be published almost as soon as the festival is over and there is no information on how the films are nominated and voted into their respective winning positions. Difficult, I think, for FF to do their own awards as they'd have to appoint ...

Re: Top 5 FINAL results popular vote

Nice work on collating the votes.

You know there's a poll function on the forum? Maybe might have been easier to post a poll so people could just poke buttons instead of typing.

Re: Upgrade

I dont think it should have been in a HORROR film festival. It's not a horror film festival, it's 'The Dark Heart of Cinema' which can encompass many things and give the programmers some leeway when it comes to selecting films. Dark themes and horror adjacency make for a more entertaining mix IMO. ...

Re: BRING BACK THE Q & As

We have decided that having a flood of people walking out in front of the visiting guests when they are being interviewed due to other films starting or limited scheduled breaks is really not a good look. It can't be something the guests are unfamiliar with if they've been at other festivals though...

Strong Year?

So... for the first time in a good number of years I was unable to attend, but I've been watching intently while running the press for my site remotely. My writers at the festival seem to have had a ball, certainly there were very few poor ratings on the pre-festival screeners we reviewed and from w...

It's not for me to cast aspersions on a certain FrightFest director whose choice these two films were, but on the other hand I have to put my hand up and confess that I had input into Bubba's Chili Parlour and Zombie Women of Satan Fun fact: I shared a flat in Gateshead with Zombie Women of Satan d...

Trailer coming up as "private" on the site...
You can watch it on the film's IMDB page.

Very old-school style (the entire movie is 4:3 aspect ratio) so I'm not sure if it will suffer the usual shaky-cam that is mostly intolerable to people who get affected by it.

Have there been any emails recently? I'm on Hotmail, but I don't think I have had any for sometime.....
Hotmail has a notoriously stringent spam filter. Definitely check your spam folder, if they even managed to reach it.
