Re: Bad Behaviour

I must have been rather lucky where I sat and who was next to me. After the initial getting used to period (call it Thursday) I was surrounded, to the left, right and behind me, by a throughly decent set of people. I missed the possible scrum on Monday for the free stuff, but at other times, be it b...

Re: BEST Discovery film

The Devil's Business for me was the best, though Rabies was the most enjoyable.

If that makes sense.

Re: Cockneys vs Zombies footage

I was sold.

Though the worry is the funniest bits were in the footage we saw, lest we can see Alan Ford saing 'give me tha fakking shooter' again.

Re: Saint

Another nice, dark fairy tale.

Not as good as Sennentunschi, but maybe because this was supposed to be more quirky, perhaps?

Re: Detention

Marmite indeed, and I like marmite. The pacing was hyperspeed. And I don't think the director is being entirely honest with it being made for 'the kids of today' when the references dating back to 1992 will actually be around the time 'the kids of today' were being born. Just admit, it was for geeks...

Re: Inbred

TheDukeAbides calls it has he sees it.

And to be honest, in many of the Q&A's some people were apologising for some of their previous works shown at Frightfest and in general.

Hopefully everyone associated with this piece of shit will do the same in years to come.

Re: Vile

I don't remember that Therapy? song being played, I must have walked out by then, I love Therapy? but I hate that song, but I guess it's fitting they chose a shit song for a shit film. It wasn't played in the film, it was in my head when they were banging on about what neurotransmitter's they colle...

Re: Panic Button

Agree with all.

It was a good 'one stage' film, well enough acted, but I felt the idea of what was shared onlie could have been exploited a bit more.

And when the guy said 'Lucy, Luuuuuuu-Seeeee' I found myself emitting a chuckle.

The Devil's Business

Of the films I saw, this wins the 'creepiness' award. This was an excellent example of shooting on a buget and making to most of location, effects and most importantly for more, music and sound. I went to see this instead of the Woman and I was not disappointed in the slightest. Well done to all inv...

Blood Runs Cold

My was this bad. You'd think it is quite easy to do a 'killer in an isolated house' but it is amazing how poorly this was executed. The worst acting this side of the kids in 'Inbred' (piece of shit) with no tension, jumps, plot or reason. And the short before it was just mind boggling. I saw the 2nd...

Re: The Glass Man

I was told that the run time of the film already been trimmed from well over two hours, yet I agree more could have been taken out.

Beautifully acted, realised and shot, but I just found it a bit dull.

Re: Kill List

A great story. Great characters.

I could have actually have done with the forest/catacombs scenes being longer to heighten the tension just a bit more, but I did enjoy it a lot.

Re: Inbred

I was thinking that my one sentence review would be enough, but this piece of shit film has provoked feelings of anger and resentment in me. I've seen bad films before. I've felt like I've wasted my time and my money, but I've never been angry after a film before like I was after this piece of shit....

Re: Rabies

This was a good film and I enjoyed it a lot.

I did like the spin put on the stalker/slasher idea and the play with the title, as talking to people who hadn't seen it, did indeed assume it was would be a flat out splatter fest.
