Re: Going it Alone

Likewise, also going alone like last year! It falls on the bank holiday weekend which in my job its very limited to book holiday so I get in there as early as possible, meaning a lot of people ai know cant and the others just dont fancy 50+ hours of films! Defo up for a few beers with anyone I bump ...

Re: Discovery Film Recommendations

What time should pass holders start queuing from on the day to have a very good chance of getting one? Is 9am early enough?! Really want to catch Antisocial and Painless back to back on the Friday. Im a day pass holder for then. Only previously bought individual tickets beforehand which is why I ask...

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

Wow, funny how expectations completely flip after viewing trailers. I WAS looking forward to HAUNTER but the trailer has totally put me off. On the flip side I really didn't fancy ANTISOCIAL but the trailer blew me away and now I'm gutted I can't catch it. Also THE BANSHEE CHAPTER is officially my m...

Re: This years Festival guests

I see Gareth Evans is a guest for a Q&A. What are the chances he'll show a bit of The Raid 2?? Particularly as the news article mentioned he had just wrapped on it. Also looking forward to Hannah Tointon :o and Alfie Allen from Game of Thrones, although both are in a couple of shorts which sound fun...

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

THE BANSHEE CHAPTER trailer just got released.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x71h5gIlO-E That part with the weird human/creature face through the tubing is awesome. Officially my most anticipated film now, however I won't be able to see it at FF as the Monday is the only day I can't attend due to ...

Re: 3D Films for Frightfest 2013

I cant wait for this trend of everything being in 3D to end. Most films are post-converted to 3D and looks TERRIBLE, it really takes away from the viewing experience and in most cases makes the film less sharp and harder to see. Avatar and Pacific Rim are the only films Ive seen that the inclusion o...

On a related note, I'm working on an interactive itinerary planner that lets you see what overlaps with what and when films are repeated... http://www.benj.com/frightfest I'm sure there's lots more I can do on this (grid lines denoting hours of the day immediately springs to mind)- let me know if y...

I'll work on some in the next couple of weeks ready for early August and post them up. I need to do it on a proper pc/mac - I knocked that up on an ipad.

Re: PDF Timetable

First 'draft'...here's a sample for the Friday. If it's any good I'll do the rest. Uploaded as a jpeg as cant upload PDF from my ipad.

I'll do the final ones as PDFs and email them as they are better quality.

have you sat there before? It seems quite far back...

I was about three rows in front last year and it was fine...I think it will be just as good a seat. I'd rather be here than much further forward!

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

Got to say, the FrightFest team have made it pretty easy for me this year as to what I'm going to watch, to the point where I have not bought a festival pass for the first time and have bought individual day passes as some of the days simply have nothing that interests me. So, I will be watching/hav...
