Tom Yum Goong (Warrior KIng) is fantastic isn't it.

The staircase fight sequence is just so amazing, really want to see it on the big screen.

Sometimes it's worth talking to people with clipboards in Leicester Square, they're not always after money; sometimes they want to give you free cinema tickets. And consequently last night myself and a few friends were lucky enough to get to see a test screening of the new Hannibal Lecter film, Hann...

Just come home from a doublebill of Once In A Lifetime: The Story Of The New York Cosmos and When A Stranger Calls. I wasn't going to bother with When A Strangers Calls untill people posted good things about it on here, and they were right, it's quite fun, not perfect but it's quite clever and tense...

Got to see The Da Vinci Code yesterday, putting it briefly it's way too long and very slow, almost boring in places. I didn't like the book but at least it works as quick page turner, Ron Howard seems to have dropped all this and just sucks any life out of the story. He also plays down the codebreak...

Went to see Brick last night, it's fantastic, it's as if someone just sat down and said, lets just fuse a hardboiled noir and a highschool film together and see what happens. It's probably the best thing I've seen so far this year.

Dr Strangelove played at the Prince Charles today, I'd never seen it on the big screen before, it was so great, not watched it for a few years. The War Room set looks amazing up on the big screen. Rewatching it today I think that George C. Scott really steals the film, he's hilarious as Buck, I love...

Went to see The King the other night, the new Gael Garcia Bernal film. I really enjoyed it, it's very dark and has a couple of really nasty shocking moments in it. In a strange way it reminded me of Donnie Darko, William Hurts character is similar to Swayze's and it captures that strange 'something'...

Went to see the Kelly Brook erotic thriller 'Three' yesterday, it's was quite fun in a bad sort of way. Forgot how funny Billy Zane can be whe he's playing a psycho character, not sure the director intended to make the audience laugh as much as we did at the film.

You're right about the visuals on Silent Hill, the look of the film really made it for me, didn't fully understand what was going on but really enjoyed looking at it.

Recently I've seen 16 Blocks, -which was fun in a bmovie style, in that it doesn't really have any huge set pieces in it. Bruce is perfect for the role though, washed-up, alcoholic, overweight - and he plays it perfectly. Slither - I really enjoyed this but thought it got off to a slow start, too mu...

I think that's the best way to describe this film - unpleasant.

The more I think about it the more I dislike it.

I had the misfortiune of watching Alien Autopsy last night, it's really bad, not funny, not interesting, and has the worst non-ending I've seen in a long time, it just fizzles out. Harry Dean Stanton got the biggest laugh. Avoid it. Yeah the dog stuff in Firewall was stupid, in fact the entire film ...

Yeah 36 is great isn't it, I loved the way no one was black or white, the good guys had bad points and the bad guys had good points. I agree it's much better than Hidden.

I got to see it last week as well, I really enjoyed it, it's nothing you haven't seen before, but it is done very very well. It looks great and has a fantastic soundtrack. For me it certainly the best of the recent horror remakes.
