Re: Tickets bought - share later - how to share?

Thanks for reply - the only problem is that I don't have "transfer ticket" as an option / button / link :( I think perhaps there is some sort of error or maybe I didn't select the right options when buying..... Unless I'm missing some security feature (which is more than possible because ...

Re: FrightFest 2018

Well, that was smoother than I expected! Although I've not bought full weekend tickets for about 5 years. Got the 4 seats I needed to, in row H. Great work whomever made the call to handle bookings online like this. I did have a fondness for the sleepy queue, but it wasn't really ideal for everyone,...

Re: Goodbye. Doesn't feel like FrightFest anymore.

A lot of this is probably more down to London Film Festival than Frightfest really. If a film gets booked at LFF then it can't be shown at another festival.

But hey, that's one less person getting infront of me in the online queue I need to worry about, I suppose.

Re: Accommodation

I pre-emptively grabbed a room at the St Giles Hotel just up from Tottenham Court Road station. Almost the same price as HHH (damn, they've gotten expensive over the years!) albeit without breakfast, and basically the same distance from Leicester Square. Plus: En Suite! Such luxuries! Room is non-re...

Re: FrightFest 2018

To register in advance, just google Frightfest Nut Tickets. When it comes up, just click on log in, then on set up account, enter your details and you're good to go. Yeah, that doesn't bring up anything. Just links to the current Frightfest tickets page, with no registration options there. Hopefull...

Re: FrightFest 2018

Good info to know in advance. Remember folks, if you've not bought tickets before, register on the website beforehand to speed up the process/not lose your order. When you say 'register on the website' what website do you mean? Cineworld? Prince Charles Cinema? Of register with Frightfest site itse...

Re: Attack of the Lederhosen Zombies

I call shenanigans - I don't remember there being any zombies in Lederhosen in this film. Other than the remains of one on the floor by his accordion towards the end.

Re: The Creature Below

It was about 30 minutes too long. Some nice ideas, but really dragged in places. And man, that CGI was something else. I think they should've stuck to practical effects throughout. Even lego models on string dangling into a fishtank would've been more convincing. Sure, I know it's low budget and I c...

Re: Advice for Loner Newbie

Plenty of people go on their own to this, so don't worry about that. Just introduce yourself to the people you sit next to, have a brief chat about things and you'll be fine. Or don't, of course. Perfectly acceptable to just sit and enjoy the movie without chatting to people. It depends what you pre...

Re: The Girl With All the Gifts (Surprise Screening)

It was very similar to the book. That sort of makes it hard for me to review because I read it only 6 months or so ago, so nothing in the movie came as a surprise. What I liked about the book was the relationship between Helen and Melanie. This movie covered that well for the first half, but I think...

Re: Blood Feast

I quite enjoyed it, but the terrible dialog kind of spoiled it. I like the original (and the recent sequel too) but I'm not sure this one is going to be thought of as a classic. It did have some fun scenes though. And yes, that eye compliment one will probably be quoted in Frightfests for the next 1...

Re: The Rezort

I didn't expect much (I hated the Outpost movies) but was pleasantly surprised. A great concept, pretty well put together. Characters were a bit cliche though, and I don't think the action scenes were shot so great (camera close-up on characters face, shake camera around wildly) and I think they cou...
