Re: Saturday in main screen. Thoughts?

I wouldn't use the mainstream press as a guide to what is worth seeing and not seeing. I remember The Hills Have Eyes 2 being totally trashed and I ignored the critic as I usually do, if he/she is obviously one that doesn't like the horror genre. You can pretty much tell from the first few sentences...

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

I totally agree about the popularity of the Discovery Screen movies this year. It is going to be mighty difficult to get into see some of these. Worst comes to the worst - Chinatown is round the corner and we can have a meal until the next movie comes on. Thats why we need a chill out room somewhere...

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

Thats true they need to make up for all of those years that they didn't adequately maintain the tube system. Well when they have caught up I hope they pull their fingers out and give us a late night service. Doesn't even need to be 24 hours, Up to 2.30am would be better than nothing. Could watch the...

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

London needs to be a 24 hour city like NYC. We need 24 hour trains so we can do stuff after 11.30 - its so annoying. Its not as if we wouldn't be paying for it and through the nose as usual too.

Re: Parking

I wasn't aware of discounted parking at all. Would be tempted to drive up every day just to have the luxury of getting home in 20 minutes in the car as all of the movies I am seeing start from 6ish most days and 4.15 and 1.15 earliest. I will be looking out for any further info closely. :)

Re: Breaks

If there are any spare rooms in the Empire Leicester square accessible from the foyer it would be great to have like a chill out room with screens showing clips of horror movies with no sound with cool music playing so festival goers have somewhere to sit down between films. We could call it 'THE CH...

Re: Mobile Phones why cant people do with out them?

I'd like to go into some armchair psychological analysis of the modern day dependency some people seem to experience with gadgets such as the mobile phone, but in brief, the reason why people cannot do without them for any length of time is because they are

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

OK I just came back from Leicester Square and got 2 Festival Passes with seats next to each other. All that sweating on the tube was worth it in the end. Was going to buy singles but it was better value in the end to get the passes, especially as there were lots of seats at the very back allocated t...

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

That totally sucks missing anything at FFest for work! Its a Bank Holiday no one should have to work unless they are in critical occupations. You can see a trailer on youtube for Banshee Chapter 3D. It looks really good. Im seeing this IF THE CINEMA BOOKING SYSTEM STARTS TO FLAMING WORK ! ! ! ! :evi...

Re: What does everyone think of the line up then?

The line up looks ok but there are some films in there that I know from looking at the trailers I will be disappointed with. Hammer of the Gods looks bad and comparing it to Game Of Thrones which I love is a bit iffy. Its like comparing Phantom Menace to Empire Strikes Back based on the fact that li...

Re: Going it Alone

This year will be my second year at FrightFest, and I will be going alone for the second year. Last year was fantastic, but I spent most of the time sitting/standing back and observing rather than really mucking in. This year I'd like to hopefully reach out and make acquaintances with more folks, s...
