Re: do you dress up for opening night

I'll be wearing my finest t-shirt and jeans - for me it's always comfort over smart for a 5-day film festival.

Re: Discovery tickets sold out for pass holders but single tickets still available

Hopefully Ian or one of the other organisers will be along in a moment to confirm, but usually the way the Disco screens work is that unsold seats will be released to pass holders either on the morning of that day's screenings, or right before the screening of the individual movie (so that if you go...

Re: Tube Strike Planned

This is good to hear - takes the stress out of travelling in on Thursday & Friday, and means there won't be a bun fight for cabs still going when we chuck out on both evenings.

Re: Discovery screen tickets

Has anyone else had issues with the discovery screen ticket PDF's? I printed out my full festival pass just now with no problem. But the discovery screen ticket PDF does not work, it just gets stuck loading with a spinning circle and the content does not load, tried on two different computers with ...

Re: Discovery screen tickets

Had to queue for an hour, but managed to get the two Disco tickets I wanted (to replace two unappealing foreign films in the main screen). Back in the queue for a speculative third ticket. The long queues are not ideal, but the site appears to be more stable now than it was earlier, and than it was ...

Re: Tube Strike Planned

If you want to keep the cost down, I live out Uxbridge way and could split an Uber with you? I'm not sure of my exact plans yet as I also have the option to crash at a friends who lives out near Stratford. If you do end up commuting back to Uxbridge, I would be more than happy to split an Uber with...

Re: Tube Strike Planned

BBC News is reporting that TFL has caved and delayed the launch of the Night Tube. No news yet on whether this will trigger the unions to cancel the strikes, but it would be the natural response.

Re: Tube Strike Planned

Frightfest: I came for the films, but I stayed for the transport moans and 80s politics. Plenty of cheapo £60ish lodgings at LSE High Holborn Halls as of last week for anyone who would prefer to stay nearby rather than face the trials of the 'Horror Express!' I'll have a look at LSE Holborn, but no...

Re: Tube Strike Planned

This is going to cause an extra special level of chaos (especially as First Great Western staff are striking over the bank holiday weekend as well, so anyone coming in on British Rail from the M4 corridor are going to have problems as well). I don't want it to, but I fear TfL will back down this tim...

We had the same issue, most of our friends will be in Film 4.
See you in August!

Re: Frightfest 2015 Film Schedule Planners

Yes. Thanks very much. Made the main screen choice much easier and highlighted any early possible film clashes. Good work guys. Likewise - thanks everyone for the movie planners. Made choosing the right screen so much easier. Thanks to these I was able to work out the Arrow screen would be the best...
