Re: Is The VVitch worth seeing ? YES
I was a bit disappointed in all honesty after all the hype - but it is still worth seeing. The trailer was one of the best trailers I'd ever seen. But the film seemed to plod along at a slower pace. I thought the opening 5-10 minutes were great as well as the final 15-20 minutes but that period in-b...

Re: Films for FrightFest 2016
Another film...
THE WAITING (starring James Caan and Keir Gilchrist from It Follows).
About a couple of guys that rig their neighbours house to slam doors/open windows etc to freak him out, but discover he holds a secret in the basement. Or something like that. Sounds a bit like Disturbia.

Re: Wizardry
Wizardry that will be in use at FrightFest this August. Be amazed. Got to be better than the service at the Vue bar last year. I think they had to hand craft each glass before they filled it, judging by the time they took! Very true. I remember queuing for about 15 minutes to get served, and ...

Re: Sleepy Queue
Regardless of whether the ticketing system has flaws or not, the bottom line since FrightFest ever began is that anyone who has ever wanted a weekend pass has managed to get one. I've never heard of anyone not being able to get one. I waited until a week after sales began last year and still managed...

Re: Accommodation
Just booked a bed in a 4-bed dormatory at St Christopher's Inn literally a few seconds from the Vue for £146 for 5 nights including breakfast. Not too bad! They're selling quickly though. Thanks for this shout! I've just secured a bed for 5 nights and saved a packet. I hope its full of other fright...

Re: Films for FrightFest 2016
There is always usually one or two films that are ultra hyped throughout the year at various festivals. Some get picked for FrightFest others don't for various logistical reasons. 2013 - You're Next 2014 - The Guest, The Babadook 2015 - It Follows, The Witch, The Hallow 2016 - ???? The early contend...

Re: FrightFest has a new home for 2016
I just see it as an annual holiday. It'll cost me the pass (£170-ish), the accommodation (£200-ish) plus, travel, food and booze (£100-ish). Total £470 for 5 days. I'd rather that than a week in Tenerife to be honest. I've been to the Vue at Shepherd's Bush several times and it's a decent cinema wit...

Films for FrightFest 2016
Perhaps a bit early, but what films would you like to see at FrightFest this August? Again it's a bit early in the festival calendar to say what you'd like to see given that there are still some huge festivals between now and August, but so far I like the look of: DON'T BREATHE Just premiered at SXS...

Re: Halloween All-Dayer/Nighter 2015
What about BASKIN ? It just had its World Premiere at TIFF......based on the short of the same name which was shown at Frightfest a couple of years ago and was very creepy. Surely that's gotta be a good shout?? Also - looks like THE WITCH won't be shown, Paul tweeted that all the films for the Hallo...

Not really horror but I would love to see this. Would be a bit of a coup if it was shown but I doubt it will happen.sherbetbizarre wrote:THIS?!
