Re: Human Centipede II
To be honest, i COULD CARE less that there's another H/C film, but that would be a waste of energy. It's one of those films that has no real meaning behind it. If you want to see a film that tackles EXPERIMENTATION, then see THE SKIN I LIVE IN.
Re: The Woman
The thing is there were two prisoners in the film, Technically, there were THREE. You can't deny the daughter was a prisoner aswell. One because of her father + in some respects her brother, and two- her mother. Not only did her mother have the chance to let 'the woman' go, but she had the chance t...

Re: Breaks
The way i did it was either make food for a munch break as simple as possible, or like on monday, i skipped a film (deadheads) to grab some munch (tim hortons donuts. YUMMMMMM!) And still managed to watch THE SKIN I LIVE IN too, (HEEEEEAVEN!)

Re: The Wicker Tree
The film was not upto the expectations i had, but i did enjoy it in places. i did find that in the sedon half of the film-Brittania Nicol (beth) and Honeysuckle Weeks(lolly) were by far much better characters and i did feel sympathy for them. And by far, the most entertaining character was Clive Rus...

Re: Bad Behaviour
I've got to say, when free stuff is out, it is just scary! If there is free stuff i only get it to give to my brother and sister and i am as civil and patient as possible. If i don't get nothing, big deal? But this years 'most pit' of free stuff was nasty. But i've still seen worse. I'm not sure if ...

Re: Sennentuntschi
Really loved it. Didn't even realise how long it was as I was enjoying it so much. Fabulous to see the Swiss putting their mark on the horror mark :) BTW anyone got a spare poster for this?! So wanted to grab the one from the foyer after the last film but obviously someone else had the idea before ...
Re: Top 5
If i could nail down 5 to be my faves, it would have to be: 1. SENNENTUNTSCHI- anyone who saw me afterwards would know why. 2. Innkeepers- just a good paced, film with believable characters. 3. The divide- not the biggest fan of Xavier gens, but this film hit it out of the park. 4. Detenti...

Re: films we just saw
Just watched Super , an awesome film that might suit people who found Kick-Ass too mainstream and glamorous or Defendor too whimsical and moralised. Super doesn't hold back Animal Kingdom is pretty good too. Also watched Suckerpunch which was so wrong on every conceivable level that it made me angr...

Re: Little Deaths, Lots of Horror!
Little deaths was middle of the road in terms of performance, but the ideas themselves were v.good. As i said to people up in glasgow, straight away it reminded me of the british mini-series URBAN GOTHIC that had Richard O'brien as the story-keeper. Like them, little deaths was basic in element but ...

'i SAW THE DEVIL' WAS OKAY, BUT TOOK SOOOO long to get to the point.
Saw 'The lincoln laywer' last friday. Nice, slick, didn't seem like 2 hours, but very predictable. The book is like most other's can't put it in film or it will kill it.

Re: films we just saw
Before glasgow frightfest began i managed (i don't know how?) to catch a showing of WAKE WOOD at the cineworld on the thursday at the same time as most people were watching battle royal 3D (Which i heard the 3D was 'questionable). Oh my goodness! I loved this film! This is the second time that glasg...

Re: films we just saw
PAUL: From the trailer i wasn't convinced, mainly due to seth rogen as the voice of paul, but i was in stitches all the way through. It's a classic and some of the homages and one-liners are just awesome! Seth rogen is totally the man as PAUL. Two of the best scenes involve a slagging match between ...

Black swan: I loved the music (god did i), i loved all the performances, i loved the scenery, i loved the psychology of it... I ultimately didn't love the film though. I walked away feeling empty and unaffected. Maybe it's just Aronofsky? reqiuem i didn't like, i've watched about half of the wrestle...
