Re: The Tortured
I enjoyed this because it was a revenge movie and I like these a lot. Yeah the acting and writing wasn't great, but I could say that about a few films at FFest. It was entertaining and if you have children of your own like I do, it makes you think about how you would react in their situation. I imag...

Re: Mobile Phones why cant people do with out them?
I am a Londoner and massively tolerant of noise. I grew up living on the A316 (in a house by it) and now I live on the A40 (in a flat by it) so pretty chilled about this kind of thing - to a point. It is annoying when you hear text alerts because it distracts you for a few seconds. The light thingy ...
Re: Monsters
Although there wasn't much horror going on, I still quite liked this film. I wouldn't watch it again or even buy it, but it was quite a gentle road movie kind of experience. I liked the two characters in the film, so being a girl, I wanted them to get together and felt sorry for her when she saw the...

Re: Appluading Death Scenes
I have also noticed at FrightFest, that there are occasions, when a handful of people laugh at things that are cruel and horrible, but not remotely funny. You will always get a small number of people who are below average intelligence with nasty little minds, watching movies of this type. Thankfully...

Re: Last Exorcism Ending
Unexpected. Thought the dad was a bit of a nutter and was surprised to see him tied up. Did not suspect the fat old lady and Sunday School teacher. Was still a bit naff and a let down though.
Re: The Dead
I liked the story and I thought the idea to set it in Africa was great and the zombies were very creepy. There were some genuinely scary moments. I thought the African actor was very good and I swear I have seen him in something before. However, I don't think that the landscapes where done that must...

Re: Appluading Death Scenes
Why wouldn't you applaud the torture of a bunch or brutal rapists????? Of course its appropriate. Put yourself in the victims position. Why applaud in Bedevilled and not in I Spit on your Grave?? She did the right thing. She took her own revenge which would have taken an extraordinary amount of stre...

Re: I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE
Hands Down one of the best films of the Festival. I loved it. I saw the original years ago and I don't think it would have the same impact as the remake. I love it when everyone in the cinema gets really into the film and verbalises their delight at what they are seeing. The revenge scenes were awes...
Re: F
I thought that this started off okay, but didn't go anywhere. Hoodies without faces like the Nun from the Armchair Thriller story Silent as a Nun (classic), going around killing everyone in a school. That was it. I don't where they came from, or what they were going to do at 8.50 am when the pupils ...

Re: Short Film Showcase
Thought Rise of the Appliances was great fun. Loved it 9/10 ! I didn't see the ones before that so cannot comment. The films that came after, I am afraid bored me to tears. I thought they were unimaginative, dull and about as scary as Bagpuss.

Re: VIDEO NASTIES DOCUMENTARY / DISCUSSION
Fantastic. Took me right back to my childhood and my Video Nasty watching days. It was a wonderful trip down memory lane as well as very informative. I learnt a lot watching this documentary. One of the best things I watched at FFest which I really was not expecting.

Great film. One of the best of the festival and one that I got emotionally involved in. The Koreans keep making great films. Every Korean film I have seen so far at FFest has been great. So glad I saw this.

Re: Red White % Blue
I quite enjoyed this film, but when I can't like anyone in it, its a bit difficult to care. Animal torturer who stabs innocent children, HIV spreader although with a sad childhood and dickhead cowards who can't play instruments who cover up a murder Hmm? I loved the atonal music though, it was brill...
