Catacombs Free with Giveaways End Day 5
Watched it last night. I now fully understand why they gave it away for free! Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Pink was ok though.

Last Exorcism Ending
Eli Roth gave his explanation and I was still confused! Where the townfolk at the end satanists trying to give birth to satan? And if so why did they throw baby in the fire? Or where they on gods side trying to give birth to the baby so they could get rid of it? And why was brother on their side and...

Re: What was Eli Roth like?
He speaks really well, a lot more articulate than Tobe Hooper anyway. I felt he was taking over the whole show. I understand he is a biggest name connected to the movie (Last Exorcism) and he's the producer, but I would have rathered he let the director talk a lot more than he did. Highlight was Pat...

Re: Appluading Death Scenes
I def found the deaths of some of the aunties humerous, and I laughed out loud with the bean paste. But like you said it would have been innapropariate to be laughing during Red, White, and Blue. Just think it is interesting to see where the line of "cheer or no cheer" is/should be. Maybe ...

Re: Appluading Death Scenes
No didn't mean they were less warranted. Nothing to do with the deaths in each movie being more/less warranted. Just thinking maybe that applauding scenes in some movies makes it "fun" like ISPOYG, where as Bedevilled wasn't/shouldn't be "fun". Maybe it is a personal thing and ho...

Appluading Death Scenes
Just wanted to open this thought for discussion. I watched I spit on your Grave on Sat eve and in the final 30min when the revenge is taking place, a huge round of appluase goes up in the cinema after each death. Now with a film like I Spit I can understand this, and found it quite fun to cheer on t...

Re: Bedevilled
Loved this film as well. Got a bit emotional as well, but the scene when the daughter says she would rather go with her mum than stay and for her to be beaten. The killing rampage at the end was a great pay off to the slow burn beginning. And finally a good use for the Recorder instrument!!

Re: VIDEO NASTIES DOCUMENTARY / DISCUSSION
Loved the doco and the q and a session afterward. But have to say that Tobe Hooper really needs to flesh out some of his responses! After his q and a on Friday and this session I seemed to get the sense he really wasn't up for much discussion.

Re: Red White % Blue
I forgot about the little kid she kept visiting. Yeah what was all that about? Have to agree it was a very slow burn, but I felt it delivered the goods. The scene with the wife and child taped to the seat was intense! Particularly after stabbing the little girl - couldn't believe that! Overall my fa...
Re: The Dead
Yep, that radio message ruined it for me too! Otherwise a great zombie flick.

First 30min, brilliant! Funny! Different! Second 57min, creepy! Final 3min, what!??? Ending ruined what would have been a fantastic film for me.

Re: BEST film of DAY 5
I have to go with Red, White and Blue. The final 20min were very intense, and the scene where Noah Taylor's character stabs the little girl has to be the most harrowing scene of all the films shown!
