Cool - Hello H16!

Now, the question is......who is H18?

Chris - H17
Hello, I'll be the one in H16 - nice to 'meet' you.

We had the same issue, most of our friends will be in Film 4.

See you in August!

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015

I bagged a decent seat, but due to being bumped out of the queue, it's in a different screen from all the peeps I've sat with for the last few years. With the staggered start/end times, it looks like I'm back to doing a solo FF like when I first started coming. Looking forward to it, but not as much...

Re: Lacking in horror this year?

I have no problem with the good mix of films this year. A little bit of sci-fi thrown in is always good with me. Variety is the spice and all that. I had a real sense that the festival is evolving in a good way and loved the extra choice and availability the new disco set up provided. I have now bee...

Really enjoyed this one. Better than the first, on a par with the second. Agree with the general consensus about the wraparound. I remember previous ones as scary, but this one not at all.

Re: Show Pieces: Act of Faith, Jimmy's End, His Heavy Heart

I went to hear Alan Moore speak as much as to see the film and wasn't disappointed.

Want to watch it again after hearing him talk about it. Will get the DVD as a Halloween present to self, methinks. His Heavy Heart was my favourite section.

Re: The Guest

That scene when he's just come out of the shower is a 10/10

The rest is an 8 for me.

A strong festival opener.

Re: Stage Fright

The person to the right of me walked out after 10 minutes. The person to my left laughed joyously throughout.
I was entertained and enjoyed it for what it was, but it didn't raise much of a laugh in me.
Just goes to show, each to their own.

Re: Coherence

Well acted - which the director said was 98% unscripted, shot over 5 nights and the cast didn't really know what was going on so they felt as confused as the characters the portrayed. I did wonder if that was the case. This one safely made my top three of the festival. A superb concept, executed br...

Re: Thoughts on FrightFest @ Vue so far..

Overall I liked the Vue experience. I agree with others that the 'buzz' wasn't quite the same as it has been at the Empire, at first anyway, but by Monday night the atmosphere was brilliant in the Film4 screen, everyone joining in with the trailers, making jokes  I loved the sense of space, the...

Re: Finally

Getting very excited now too. Still not decided on which Disco films to see, the quality seems very high this year. I went to the Vue last week to get an individual film for a friend and I have to say the staff were very helpful. The manager even came down to help me with my ticket and we had a good...

Re: Coffee question

I tend to save up my Café Nero loyalty cards to so I can get a few free massive super-duper coffees over FF weekend. I never tried the coffee at the Empire, but I usually fancy a comforting hot chocolate for the late film. I'm sure I'll probably do the same at the Vue. I just spotted on the Vue's we...

Re: Random Weekend Thoughts...

I turned up late to just one film so took a seat in an empty row at the top back to minimise disturbance. Actually it was lovely to see the whole panorama of the audience before me. I think the lateness is only a problem if the person is consistently late for film after film - then it shows a lack o...
