Re: Realive

I've slept on this one overnight and still conclude that I did enjoy it - I think I'd been whacked over the head with the emotional-stick walking out of the screen initially. I agree with others, it was hugely sentimental and I wasn't expecting it to make me cry (though I blame someone else openly s...

Re: The Master Cleanse

I loved this, it was easily the best of the (main screen) offerings for me. It had this whimsical charm which just made me care more about the characters' journeys over its 86 minutes that some of the much longer films of the weekend managed to achieve.

Re: Chatting woman in Horrror Screen

If she has the same seat all weekend she's behind me tomorrow. I am happy to use firm words or actions to shut her up as required :green:

Oooh no, I like just average! Hot and stuffy by the final film sounds pretty rubbish.... hopefully that'll be sorted out today for folks who're there.

Enjoy your Fridays and see you tomorrow Frightfest!

Can Thurs Night/Friday folks report in on the aircon situation as usual!

I'm a big wuss, and need to know how many layers I might need, so the lowdown on cinema temperature and any other stuff to know about the new venue would be great!

Re: Food & Booze in Shepherd's Bush

I love food recommendations, because I love food. Very much looking forward to hunting out Mr Falafel, from that list. I'm never sure about a ton of burgers at Frightfest - I have too many memories of BK lunch and dinner running back and forth from the Empire in the inevitable rain!

Re: Parking

Well, my parking tag arrived over the weekend - hope if anyone else bothered to register yours have now arrived too.

I haven't registered it for use yet - that's a task for later. Fingers crossed it all works as the website advises on the day!

Swapsies - Sunday Arrow Screen mid-row tickets for an aisle seat

Hello lovely Frightfesters! I have day passes for Saturday and Sunday for me and 'im indoors, hurrah! My Saturday tickets are aisle seats, yay! The reason this is important to me is because i'm going to be just under 18 weeks pregnant by the time Frightfest hits :o On the Sunday, all we were able to...

Re: Parking

There is parking in the car park attached to the shopping centre where the cinema is (for about 230 cars). It does get very busy in there early on due to the supermarket and the spaces are a bit small. Not sure if there is an all-day parking offer on at the moment. If you get an express parking tag...

Re: Stress free ticketing for a change

I agree wholeheartedly, and it's nice to see someone acknowledge this in a separate thread. I totally get that it's stressful to buy a ticket, but within a few minutes of sales starting, every year, there's a wave of "The system is TERRIBLE, I hate the organisers, why have they done this to us,...

Re: Ticket Sales

I am genuinely sorry for those who're still struggling to get tickets. My experience is the same as those who found it super-quick and easy - I was in and out within 5 minutes for both of my day passes. I know it is beyond sucky when you're sitting waiting and everything looks sold out, but I hope m...

Re: Which Screen Is Which ??

Ah! I'm glad you asked this, I was going to post something similar. I'd like to try for tickets in the biggest of the screens, because being with more folks always gives that proper Frightfest vibe. Sorry I can't help, but I'm going to check out the screen seating sizes in the meantime! Edit: From V...

Hunting out an old FF short film - Un Jour Sang

So a discussion on reddit got me thinking about a short I saw in FrightFest....2011 I think....maybe 2012.... which I'd love to see again. It was Un Jour Sang, by Steven Pravong. It was shown during the short film showcase on the Sunday afternoon I think it was. I remember it just being horribly cla...
