A bit of a shame about the source material (pixellation) but my concern the idea would be only enough for a short stretched out to feature length was unfounded. A brilliant performance from the utterly batshit doctor!

Thoroughly enjoyed it throughout - and the idea for the sequel mooted in the Q&A sounds brilliant!

Shame the UK Blu-Ray is region locked though

Great to see on the big screen (and in the whole making of Landis is always smiling too!), the strangest element had to be one of the MJ fans commenting on how down to earth he was... hock:

One of the films I liked least of the festival, though I can see why some liked it - infidelity is a bit of a trigger point for me, which contributed alot. Was well acted, but when the character that's most sympathetic is the one initially set up as a stalker... no sympathy particularly for the hero...

Can see how it's divisive, but personally loved it. A very solid sequel - clever in that it could theoretically follow from either of the endings for the original (you don't lose anything if you've only seen one of them) and well-made with some nice follow-ups going on - you don't see the corpses of people killed in the first film in many sequels! The period feel worked very well and really reminded me of that type of movie from the early 80s. Ironically its a period of films I don't end to rewatch much because I find them to be an hour plus of buildup and then all the payoff squished into the last few minutes, so that this did it too serves ...

It seems every other Frightfest the Monday contains one low-budget zombie movie that half the audience will despise ( House of the Dead , Day of the Dead 2: Contagium , The Zombie Diaries ) - this one was neither the worst nor the best in my opinion, there were some laughs but I doubt I'll be seekin...

Enjoyed it personally - a shame that thanks to the delay the other "evil kid" movies have jumped the gun, but slickly done and one of the better mainstream horrors... quite a few comparisons to FEAR I found, if a film gets made then look no further for casting Alma!

Though it wasn't especially original, I did very much enjoy it (like with Triangle ), and for me too it very much felt like a Clive Barker tale... one thing I did notice is that there were huge amounts of subtle (and unsubtle too) foreshadowing, some of which will probably take a second watch - did ...

The opening kill in Cube is ace in my opnion...

Channard in Hellraiser II (as Frank in the first film has already been said)

And favourite non-horror - Milo in The Last Boy Scout (possibly followed by Cyrus in Con Air)

Torchwood = wow. Utter brilliance, spoiled only by the reaction of some "fans" to the writers - see about James Moran's horrible experiences here

First episode of Children of Earth = superb, why can't more TV be up to this quality!

Total Wipeout is back tomorrow!
