Re: Death Note

I was looking forward to this one and enjoyed it. Doesn't top the original Japanese version but for me that would have been extremely hard to do.

Re: Food

There's a Tesco on Lower Regent Street only a 5 min walk away just below Piccadilly Circus plus there's Coop and Sainsburys on Strand about 10 mins away. There's also a Whole Foods just off Piccadilly but that's the pricy option.

Very interested to see Death Note - the original Japanese version is a favourite of mine.

Re: Booked

Well that was shockingly easy - mid section, 1 in from the aisle - job done! I missed it last year as I wasnt keen on spending time in Shepherds Bush but very happy that this year its back in both Leicester Square and the old Empire :D

Re: Ticket Sales

Well I completely missed all the fun and games of Festival Pass buying this year as I'd pretty much decided not to go this year as soon as I heard Shepherds Bush was the venue. First time in 14 years I've not attended with a weekend pass but hey theres always a first time for everything eh? Well don...

Re: FrightFest has a new home for 2016

Well I'll be honest and say I'm not massively thrilled about the prospect of spending the bank holiday weekend in Shepherds Bush. For me Leicester Square is THE location for anything movie-related but of course it's a massive building site round two sides of it at the moment and with Vue WE undergoi...

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015

Was intending to log in before noon but I went shopping and got stuck in a traffic jam on the way back ... logged into site around 12.05, queued up for about 1hr 30 mins, got a decent seat one away from an aisle in Film 4 Screen - when I later checked I think its actually the same seat I had last ye...

Re: Picturehouse Central

Looks like a huge improvement on the current Trocadero (with its awful legroom, hard sit up n beg seats and soulless feel) but yes only 1000 seats would'nt be enough room for FF. I have a big soft spot for the Prince Charles and love its quirkiness so hope it would survive the competition. Not sure ...

Re: Frightfest quality of films and clashing with the LFF

Why don't the organisers just move away from the rule of only premiers be shown on the main screen - if they feel a film is of high quality & would go down a storm at FF who cares if it's been shown elsewhere in Britain previously! To some extent they do: This year, Sin City 2 premiered the day...

Both were highly entertaining ...for all the wrong reasons ... so I wouldnt put them amongst my absolute worst :) Still bemused as to how Adrien Brody still has a career after Giallo

To be honest, I'd completely forgotten both of those until you mentioned them. I still didn't remember Isle of Dogs until I Googled it.
