Re: Films for Frightfest August 2015

Very much the same, Alex. But my screen represents some brutal clashes to have to decide on.

Gut reaction top 5 are (in no order):

SOME KIND OF HATE
SUMMER CAMP
TALES OF HALLOWEEN
THE HALLOW
HELLIONS

Re: Frightfest 2015 Film Schedule Planners

Thanks for sourcing these all into one place & trying to praise credit, DJBenz. The FrightFest official PDF and the clashfinder programme are both by myself.

Hope people find them useful!

Re: Film4 FrightFest 2015 news/update

Oh Alex, are you hoping for flying pigs as a guest of honur too? ;P

Most recent I heard was that Ti wasn't quite finished with post yet, and Blumhouse was looking at a Venice later this year as a gala premiere or 2016. We can dream though.

My hopes are

Opening: Crimson Peak
Closing: Green Room

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2015

Also another sure fire, Eli Roth's KNOCK KNOCK has now got a June 26th Release Date set. So that's vetoed.

What about FF alumni Johannes Roberts' new one THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR

or old FF regular Adam Mason's new found footage home invasion riff HANGMAN.

Re: Films for Frightfest August 2015

Sadly WB has bumped up the release date for THE GALLOWS to July 17th so while that seemed fairly likely before looks to be saiyonara now.

A tasty warm up to satiate us over the fest nonetheless

Re: T-Shirts

For me the art designs have always been gorgeous. Can forgive last years slight drop in quality and range as they did have an entire venue shift to deal with! The only constructive criticism I'd add is the films roster on the back print is a big big thing for many people. I know the missing lineup d...

Re: Solo Frightfesters

Never fret about going alone, I too did my first year and was lucky enough to meet an ever expanding group of people who are now my best friends both in and outside the festival. Maybe I just speak for myself, but never be afraid to say hi, I'll chat film shit for days to a vegetarian quiche so it's...

Re: Finally

I'm super glad to hear that Kris, it took me a little while to gear up this year but that was more personal things. Yes the move from Empire is a tad lame, but hey ho, as I put it in my FrightFest brochure article: Empire wasn't our home, just as the Odeon wasn't. It was just the house of frightfest...

Re: FF Predictions

I would HIGHLY second Evrim's recommendation, The Duke Mitchell takeover sure is going to be a blast. While COHERENCE doesn't necessitate a massive screen in my opinion, what it does require is a crowd to duke (mind the pun) it's themes and messages out over. You won't get a better crowd to do that ...

Re: Disco screen line ups

It will- sadly- definitely not be IT FOLLOWS, as the distrib is holding it back to suit their UK release schedule. As of the moment the slot is being kept open for last minute additions or for an encore showing of a popular other Disco choice.

Re: FF Predictions

COHERENCE is purchasable through US iTunes or from the film's website itself (self releasing) which is how I purchased it (IP Blocker set to USA required) at http://www.coherencethemovie.com

It's a devious little film that is guaranteed to marmite the audience.

The film that most people will be raving about by the end of the festival? HOUSEBOUND The GUILTY PLEASURE film of the festival? NYMPH The film that most people will be grumbling about by the end of the festival? ALL CHEERLEADERS DIE The film most people missed and will be kicking themselves over COH...

It totally is all peaches! Thanks for not moaning dude. Totally down for SIN CITY. However would not want to make the call on CANAL V. HOUSEBOUND. I've a similar dilemma.
