Re: The Possession
Utterly diabolical. Camp and laughable. Even Case 39 was better. If it had been on before Sinister it might have stood more of a chance, but this was another Raimi letdown for me. He should stop producing dreck. It was so similar to loads of other (equally crap) recent films as well - The Unborn, Th...

Re: Dead Sushi
Not quite up there with Vamp Girl VS Frank Girl or Alien Vs Ninja in the Eastern midnight madness scale, but still loved it and will definitely buy it (as I did with the other two). Loved the geisha girl's random robot dancing!
Re: V/H/S
Did anyone else spot that the haunted house was The House Of The Devil? Best segment by far, thought VHS was very uneven and too much of a slog, while much of the ambiguity just seemed lazy. Had chilling moments but there were no likeable characters - guys came out of it as total assholes, girls wer...

Re: Purchasing Tickets
Another thing - there's no limit on tickets that Sleepy Q punters can buy, I know several other Glaswegians who got their tickets bought for them by people in the Q. If the whole point of the Q is to reward the hardcore, a ticket limit might be fairer.

Re: Purchasing Tickets
I think a sensible shout would be to have the main programme in 2 screens if it does get so busy in the future (which will have its own problems I'm sure), and have the discovery screen too. As folk have said, some of the best films the last few years have been in there, and some of them definitely ...

Re: Purchasing Tickets
Yeah, it's the booking system that annoyed me. Even when I was booking the day tickets, I had to call my bank because they blocked my card since I had to make several transactions in a row because the bloody Empire site won't let you make multiple reservations at once (meaning it's multiple booking ...

Re: Purchasing Tickets
Yeah, I'm coming from Glasgow. I was holding out for more weekend passes, but like others have said, the Twitter feed is pretty adamant that there won't be any more available, so I've just gone ahead and booked passes for the days that are available and I'll get some individual tickets for the Frida...

Re: Purchasing Tickets
I think my personal problem is with the Empire site - it doesn't seem to 'lock' seats when you're booking, it's just a lottery grab-bag. It shows seats as if you've got them locked then by the time you get to pay they're gone, then it's back to square one. This happened to me until all the seats wer...

Re: All Nighter News
Bit disappointed with the line up. Really wish The Thing prequel was playing (can't believe there's 2 months between the US and UK releases, if it's shit they're digging their own grave, so hopefully that's not the case. I have hope). Woman In Black might be a possibility, being British and Hammer e...

Re: films we just saw
The Funhouse is out on Monday on Blu!
I love it more each time I see it. Here's my review of the film, it's a bit spoilerific so if you haven't seen it I'd go check it out first - http://www.eyeforfilm.co.uk/reviews.php?film_id=20393

Re: Little Deaths, Lots of Horror!
I was pleasantly surprised by Little Deaths, expected to hate it. Thought it had a bit more going on than most of Brit horror films. Here's my review: http://www.eyeforfilm.co.uk/reviews.php?film_id=19745 I wasn't too keen on Red, White And Blue when I first saw it, but it's stuck with me, looking f...
