Re: The Unspoken
I quite liked this. It had good atmosphere even with the cheap jump scares. The Few gory scenes were very well done. I really could have done without that dreadful exposition scene at the end though. I would have been happier with it ending exactly the way it began.

Re: Belly of the Bulldog
I didn't enjoy this at all. A totally misleading poster a 10 minute script stretched long past the point of being entertaining. I could see all the orange dust spilled everywhere throughout the film, so were they taking it or using it to decorate the english countryside. It was the worst military dr...

Re: Halloween All-Dayer
I wasn't too keen on this being an all day event. I still fell asleep during two of the films but I think thats because they were crap and not because I was tired and those PCC seats are too easy to fall asleep in. The lack of a decent length break was annoying aswell, at least when it was an allnig...

Re: Halloween Line-Up Announced
I agree, the allday thing has really added to the cost. I used to love just turning up for the allnighter then getting the train home after stumbling out of the cinema. Now I have to pay for a nights stay in a hotel. I'm a bit disappointed about the change really the allnighter thing always made it ...

Re: Goddess Of Love
I liked it. I always enjoy a descent into madness movie and thought this did it well. The way it started with the paranoia and then got increasingly more obsessive to the point where she had no shame in her desperation was really well done. Some good visual gags to help show how she was losing it. W...

Re: Inner Demon
This was pretty awful. 20 minutes of running through the woods. 10 minutes of trying to scale a mud bank that really only looked about 2 foot tall. Then 30 minutes of sitting in a cupboard. I liked the idea of the girl giving up so she'd die and then come back as a ghost and save her sister, but the...
Re: Pod
I thought this was great, one of my top picks of the fest. The army vet brother and the sister played there roles like they'd had too many red bulls but I liked that, I think it worked well against the more grounded brother character. I also liked the bickering interactions between the older brother...
Re: Slumlord
This is one I was going to skip but ended up seeing it in the end. I actually enjoyed it. Like most people have said the actors appearance helped sell his creepiness and then the added bonus of his Grover from sesame street voice just made me like him more. I wonder how much he spent on all those ba...

Re: Loud laughing man in arrow screen

Re: Best lineup yet?
My biggest decision is what to see for the 2nd to last film on the monday. Emilie sounds good but i've wanted to see goddess of love for a while now as I really like Jack Brooks monster slayer and The shrine. Then I read the synopsis for Curtain and watched the trailer and that just looks mental, an...

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015
Ever since the discovery screens were introduced I've skipped out of the main screen for the films I thought looked poor. If at the end of the festival i've sat through a film I thought was rubbish it's usually my own fault because I chose to see it. Sometimes it works out that theres nothing good o...

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015
Wow almost £200 a ticket, so thats nearly £400 for me and the missus. Got a bit of time to think about whether or not i can afford it this year. Yes, but with an extra screen and over 15 more films and events to choose from it we feel it is still good value. We had held the price at at £170 for two ...
