Re: Buying disco tickets
I didn't receive any email yesterday. Can you confirm what time the tickets will be on sale from today - is it noon?

Re: Film clash dissapointments.
How about The Glass Coffin? Seeing that in the other slot! Ah, thought you might be! I've tentatively opted to stay in the main screen for Freehold, though it's not one of the main screen offerings I have the highest hopes for... might have to re-jig, as the other discovery options don't really app...

Hounds of Love
On the face of it, another in a long line of serial killer thrillers, but what pushes this one above average is the quality of performances first time director Ben Young extracts from his cast and his keen eye for composition. Like Jonathan Glazer, Young cut his teeth making music videos and that se...

Re: To Trailer or not?
I'm with the 'no trailer' crowd - typically avoid 'em the plague as they so often contain key scenes and spoilers. Going in as blind as possible is the best way to avoid prejudice and expectations IMO. I've managed to avoid a few stinkers at past FFs just based on the synopses. Lowlife sounds like i...

Re: Thoughts on the schedule so far?
What's caught the eye of everyone on the Discovery screens so far? Dhogs, Boots on the Ground and 3rd Night have all piqued my interest, and it's good to see a selection of vintage films on the Sunday. I'm leaving it until the timings are announced before trying to work out which ones to go for, but...

Re: Thoughts on the schedule so far?
Hatchet's one I'll be giving a miss. Not a massive fan of the franchise and with the Disco options on offer, it's an easy choice to skip for me. Ones that have particularly piqued my interest on the main screen are Sequence Break (though anything hoping to live up to the billing of a comparison with...

Re: Halloween
Same thing from my perspective. Enjoyed the day - thanks to FF and PCC for putting it together! Fear Inc. Best film of the day for me. Comedy horror chock full of references to other films but with enough ideas of its own to draw you in. The script is smart enough to preempt obvious comparisons to F...

LFF 2016 Roundup
I saw 19 films at all in this year's festival - almost a FF's worth of film! A couple of stinkers, but lots of good stuff, as always: the programming seems to get better year on year. Here're my capsule reviews of some of the horror fare on offer: Creepy - 5/10 A return to the horror genre for Kiyos...

Re: Films for Halloween All-dayer?
Rupture and Don't Hang Up sound quite promising from the synopses. Bed of the Dead sounds stupid. Head Shot sounds like a darker version of Bourne. The other two don't sound terrible, but don't particularly excite me either. All in all, it's a better looking line up than last year, which I skipped ...

Re: Films for Halloween All-dayer?
There hasn't been any crossover in the past as far as I'm aware. Got my ticket for Raw at LFF - it's one of the ones I'm looking forward to most, along with The Void.STun wrote:Would any of the films at the London Film Festival be repeated?
Raw seems to be getting solid reviews
