Anyone going to be buying this Kiwi zombie flick next month? Last of the Living ...includes trailer. I've seen this. Reasonably entertaining whilst it was on but nothing special. Got the impression it was made by people who want to follow Peter Jackson's career trajectory (and who can blame them?)

Without the 3-D this film amounts to not a lot. Totally generic.

Seriously dull and uneventful, despite the presence of the rather lovely Lena Headey. It's interesting how a slower pace worked so well for LTROI but failed so badly here, probably because there's just not enough to engage our interest here. Check out the 1972 Roger Moore film The Man Who Haunted Hi...

Love the vampire genre in general but when something this original comes along it's just irresistable. Fabulously acted by the young leads and beautiful to look at. The pacing was perfectly judged as well, so yes, film of the weekend for me too. :)

Second to MMT by a hairsbreadth for me as film of the day, and very, very funny.

Worst of the weekend for me too. Poorly shot, paced edited and acted, apart from Audrey the little girl. Talking about it afterwards some of us were convinced that it was only to spare her feelings that we didn't all tear into the director during the Q and A. He should have spent the 11,000 dollars ...

yes, it is! I hadn't realised that we'd got a slightly shorter cut. The bulk of the "extra" footage has some kind of external media, so I'm assuming the only reason it's not in the European print is down to Warners not wanting to / not being able to get clearance for the content. Don't kn...

evil dead trap 2 has been for sale in computer exchange in Harrow for about half a year now. 4 quid. never picked it up cus I don't really want to buy a sequal before getting the 1st one. First Evil Dead Trap is a classic, really good stuff, but the sequel is a sequel in name only. Deadly dull. Avo...

Discovery of the Week is Communion, aka Alice Sweet Alice and mainly known for the debut of Brooke Shields. Who is the yellow-clad maniac killing around the devout but troubled Spages family in time-honoued giallo tradition? It's quite well done and the killer's identity did surprise me, I'll admit...

I'm very tempted to buy (or download) 5 across the eyes, that preview thingie at the lionsgate day made me want more. There might still be a chance of winning it though as there's no news on the competitions on the main page, so I'll wait 'patiently' for the results. I'd highly recommend it having ...
