30 Days of Night - A DVD that I won on this very website, and very glad I did too. Well directed and acted and plenty of claret to boot. Add in several decidedly tasty decapitation scenes and what's not to like? Semi Pro - Followed up 30 DoN by watching Will Ferrell's basketball comedy. Too much spo...

Inglorious B*stards - Haven't had this much fun watching a film since....well since the last Fred Williamson film I saw. Bonkers spaghetti war movie with enough sub-machine guns and stick grenades to keep any red blooded male in a state of delirium (not to mention the scene with the 10 topless gun t...

Speaking of Die Hard clones, has anyone else seen a picture called Lethal Tender ? In said film, the the mighty Jeff Fahey as the hero squares up to and dependably brilliant Kim Coates as the Hans Gruber-style villain who decides to take hostages inside.... .... *a water purification facility* (yes...

Get with the times StreetRW, I'm currently listening to:
Eardrum
Guillotine Catflap and
Findus Crispy Pancakes.

Maybe not. No, I've not heard of any of the bands being namechecked either. Now where did I put my Brother Beyond CD...?

What Ever Happened to Baby Jane ? - Bette Davis is one of the great cinematic nutjobs as the child star turned bitter nobody. Lots in here that I'd never really associated with a film of its age. Recommended. Rush Hour 3 - I don't think there is any other fight sequence I've seen on film that can ma...

Resident Evil: Extinction - Let's bl**dy hope so after another lame episode in one of recent cinema's least deserving franchises. A grab-bag of zombie cliches coated with a glossy xbox finish. Still.....Milla Jovovich has got great legs. :D Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Hugely enjoyable post-modern film noi...

More DVDs..... (while I wait for some decent cinema releases): Cold & Dark is terrible. I mean, dismally bad. Lame, dull, cheap, illogical, pointless... Tough vice cop Luke Goss is up against a mythical slasher beast thing (apparently from Kurdistan) violently despatching a bunch of people-traf...

Just got back from watching a new print of Dracula at the local Town Hall. It's the Hammer 1958 version. Jolly good fun what, and Peter Cushing was a great, great Van Helsing. Never mind Hugh Jackman's big leather coat and gadgets, Cushing saw Dracula off with nothing more than a pair of candlestick...

Bearded Avenger - Glad to see I'm not the only Zone Horror viewer ! Caught: Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain on ZH the other night. A bog standard hillbilly horror (but set in Ireland!). Otherwise notable for 2 things: 1. A scene in which some bloke has his intestines pulled out of his bumhole. Now...

I KNOW WHO KILLED ME. Couldn't resist taking a look at Lindsay Lohan's notorious(ly bad) attempt at appearing in a film for 'grown-ups'. Dear sweet Lord it's bad. Example? The finale of this serial killer thriller takes place in a thunderstorm complete with several shots of a hooting owl and relies ...

Recently seen... Hitchcock's Frenzy - Love most of the Hitchcock's I've seen (Rope & 39 Steps probably my faves) but had never caught this one before. It's grimey in a Deathline kind of way but a few delicate touches lift it above the mundane. The police inspectors wife's terrible cooking.....Ba...
