Re: [REC]3 Genesis

As a previous post as stated, I haven't seen the first two REC's and I'm not a massive fan of the found footage sub-genre either. As a stand alone movie I thought it was very entertaining and I did like the way not only did the get rid of the cam-footage after 20mins but also gave a small nod to 'ni...

Re: London 2012 Accommodation

Has anyone contacted HHH (resists wrestling pun) about any discount. I'm being stoically English and will not rock the boat unless there is a precedent?

Re: Purchasing Tickets

Here is a bit of good news for you all hot off the presses so to speak. FrightFesters who were unable to get festival passes and bought five day passes instead in order that they could attend the whole event will also get a goodie bag this year. The above was in the goodie bags thread - don't know ...

Re: Goodie Bags

I'm still unsure who each cinema reacts these days to people bringing in their own stuff - but I assume it is more relaxed that a single screening. I believe Cineworld reserve the right not to let you in if you've brought food from outside. However, they don't have any problem with people bringing ...

Re: Goodie Bags

I find goodie bags to be a bonus. I know last year (after the stock encounter with some naughty children playing with matches) as discussed on here, that a few were disappointed with the lack of stuff - or I think the problem was that the bags were unevenly loaded, some getting far more than others ...

Re: A little off topic

I have a few beers of an evening, but drink far less over an FF weekend than I do over a usual weekend.

Re: Re-Discovery Screen

When I have a better idea of times and clashes I'll see what is on the horizon.

There is one film being shown I definately won't be gonig anywhere near though.

Re: Goodie Bags

Being that the riots happened in August last year I wouldn't get too optimistic yet.

We still have to have a barrage of "One year on..." news stories to ratchet up tension, because something bad like that happening again would be great for a media suffering from Olympic fatigue.

Re: Purchasing Tickets

Yeah, no offence morralex, but I don't really agree with that to be fair. R.e, people getting up earlier: the weekend passes go on general sale at 12.30 in the afternoon. They sold out forty minutes later. As long as you got up at 12.25 (allowing 5 minutes for the computer to boot), you were in wit...

Re: Purchasing Tickets

Well, there is a whole year now for Empire to make modifications to their website to avoid this problem - initially by having a countdown timer "you now have X mins to complete your order or lose your seat" - which can be applicable to all seats for all screenings the other 364 days of the...

Re: Purchasing Tickets

I was thinking about suggesting that people should contact their banks prior to them putting on, much like you are urged to do before going abroad. Then I thought what a stupid thing it would be to tell your bank you are going to spend a far amount of cash in your country of residence. I mean, do yo...

Re: Purchasing Tickets

At least there is none that I can see for sale on ebay. Not into the touting levels yet - though I will admit the idea of touting cinema tickets seems one step too far, but obviously some are willing to pay serious money to go. Also I was happy with all the seats in Screen 1 as I was sad enough to t...

Re: Purchasing Tickets

I'm glad that I have tickets, and am looking forward to a great selection of films. But I think the customer service is utterly appalling, and frankly I've paid £320 for two terrible seats. Because of health issues, my other half is more comfortable with an aisle seat. But due to the fact that I co...

Re: Purchasing Tickets

Likewise, about 5 seats were selected before I finally got a full pass.

All it means is more people will have to cope with my 'question of etiquette - ass or crotch' as a move down the aisle to my seat.

Re: Films for FrightFest The 13th 2012

Premature Publication?

I'm not complaining.

As per usual, no research shall be done till I read the programme, don't need spoilers.
