Re: films we just saw

Great thoughts guys!

Looking forward to seeing "Shutter Island". It may be an exceedingly rare indeed trip to the cinema in fact.

Re: films we just saw

How is everyone? Good I hope. Salivating waiting for tickets... "Nosferatu" (Herzog) Although not as good a film overall as the silent classic, Herzog's film does perhaps feature an even more creepy and dangerous Dracula than even our Max. Our Klaus! Kinski's make-up is basically the same ...

Re: films we just saw

"The Professor" Before he wowed the dinner party brigade with "Cinema Paradiso" Giuseppe Tornatore made this troubled 5 hour TV mini series that never saw the light of day as a 5 hour TV mini series. Instead it was cut down by half and released as a feature and the cutting reall...

"Street Trash" http://www.beardyfreak.com/rvtrash.php Lets get some things out of the way first dear readers…Yes ”Street Trash” is lots of fun and has some genuine 'wow' moments, but it's also sadly not the film it could have been. Running at least 10 minutes too long it suffers from a pr...

Re: films we just saw

Yeah...but "The Dogs of War" was fucking tedious and wasted its cast. Both charges you've not got a snowball's chance in Hell at leveling at "The Wild Geese".

Re: films we just saw

Yeah..."Severance" was lots of fun. And again, Danny Dyer is actually very likeable and not a wideboy irritant. I see it recently got caught up in it's own bit of (ifuckingronic given the recent news) Bulger/'ChildsPlay 3' arse water over some guy burnt alive while tied to a tree by some s...

Re: films we just saw

It's worth checking out "Vacancy 2", the prequel. Okay stuff and more nasty than the first film by quite a way.

The Beyond, will remain one of my favoes for years to come :) Eccentric as all hell...but that gothic look, gory set-piece and wonderful atmosphere set-up save it. You keep as a favourite for years to come mate! "Inglorious Basterds" Second viewing (after the cinema viewing) of QT's WW2 e...

City Of Angels As part of the film compromise in my house, for every film I choose my other half gets to choose something the next time. Not too bad untill you actually realise how different our tastes in films are. Not the sort of film I would usually go out and watch but I have to say this was a ...

"The Nazi Cult Collection"

Elsa Fraulein SS
Jailhouse Wardess
Helga Shewolf of Stilberg
Convoy of Girls
Special Train for Hitler
Nathalie Rescued from Hell

£3.50 for each film isn't too bad.

I don't...there's always Vincent Price. Different -- hugely different -- class of wit, granted, but there's a huge precedent from EC to Amicus and beyond.
Not at the level of a mall rat t-shirt though. Or a mug. Or a bumper sticker.

Re: Oh my god! Run, it's the Sequels!!!

HATE pointless, needless remakes. Never watch em. Especially if it's of a classic 70's film that's easily available and does not need redoing. But i have to say i've never liked Freddy much at all (wise cracking horror icons....*shudder*) or cared much about the films. But the first is still an icon...
