Re: Frightfest quality of films and clashing with the LFF
One man's "bad film" is another's GOLDMINE. Generally I agree, but in the case of Shockwave no-one's come forward as a prospector yet. This reviewer raves about it, praising the 3D and character building, with his only caveat being that what he terms "the average dumb-as-dirt J...

Re: Thoughts on FrightFest @ Vue so far..
I was apprehensive about the Vue but it was a wonderful venue. To echo those before the bar area is amazing I liked the stall area and I thought the Disco set up was brilliant. A slight complaint is that the Discovery screens don't have a great rake or bank so my view of Preservation was obscured by...

Re: Digging up the Marrow
Does anyone know why that guy was constantly laughing throughout the film. I mean parts of the film were amusing but that guy with a massive case of giggles was a serious distraction.

Re: Frightfest's worst movie ever?
I've been to the last four London fests and I've walked out of three films; Sennentuntshi, The Inside (Irish Found Footage Discovery screen film ) and Shockwave Darkside. Those would be my worst ever but I rented Smashcut which was shown before my time and it is unwatchable.

Re: I survived a zombie hollocaust
This won me over. Like internet rule 34 there is a siilar movie rule that if it exists there is zombies of it and I groaned when I found out it was a zombie movie on a zombie film set, however it was charming enough to keep me going. After the American love in of Dead Snow 2 it was fun to see the op...

Nightbreed also sprang to mind for me. I really enjoyed this one but I'm an Adam Green fan, his Q&A was great too.
Re: R100
This is where the fest really started for me. The screen was fairly crowded and everybody was loving its madness. I personally lovd the cast breaks, I thought they were hilarious.

Re: Thoughts on FrightFest @ Vue so far..
Lovd the fest, the bar area and thr disco ticket system. I admit I panicked and got 6 disco tickets on opening night which I was told was the maximum as I was paraniod I would miss Wolfcop but I really the festival was a massive hit with everyone I spoke too. The only nuisance was the super creepy/s...

Can not wait!! Thank you doing this every year.
Re: Finally
I was not really looking forward to the fest either as it's my first solo fest, it will be a smaller venue etc but now I am buzzing. I was planning to skip a few films just for the sake of my sanity. However with two weeks away I am planning to see every film (assuming I get tickets for all the Disc...

Do quite fancy Jorg talking about Nekromantik.
I concur about your first point. Some of my favourite guests have been people that I had never heard of, until they stepped up to present their films.

Re: MAIN SCREEN / DISCO CLASH HELP
I'm struggling between Digging up The Marrow or Life After Beth as well as Nekromantik or Faults. For the former my decision will probably be swayed when the guests are announced. As for the latter I don't know what to do.

Re: Lineup announced - discussion/thoughts
All a bit harsh I think - Sin City was a great film - no idea what the second film will be like but I'm looking forward to finding out (maybe I'm the only one..) If the hard words are because it's not a horror film then fair enough, but considering that last years equivalent of this was RIPD then y...
