GreenZone adapted from the book imperial life in the emerald city with some fiction as well, sets the scene after the invasion and the search for wmds that keeps coming up empty, paul greengrass brings his handheld camera style that worked well for the bourne sequels and united 93,not so nauseating a...

Re: films we just saw

some pre cert laserdiscs came my way so a viewing of The Wild Geese, with hellraisers, Burton & Harris plus a cast of many inc Roger Moore, its hard to not like The Wild Geese my problems with it are that andrew v mclaglens direction in most of his films has no gravity of a serious mature director...

From my FB page: Not much plot, no really believable characters, not much in the way of subtext, subtlety, themes...

Re: STAG NIGHT

Those folks just were dwellers on the subway system, only they obviously get fed up with normal food and like flesh instead, and tasty looking women dead or alive, you know every underground system has them, obviously there are different variants depending on the film. Deathline has trapped tunnelers/mi...

Re: [REC.2]

A much better sequel than i thought it would be,thankfully in rec2 the scares that were so great in [REC] have been omitted from this one,as much as they are rec's strength they are also its weakness as once experienced, its difficult to be scared by them again. Luckily in rec2 we get none of that bu...

Re: STAG NIGHT

Horror has a new brand & its StagNight,so add that to the hills have eyes & wrong turn brands of the horror genre. I didnt mind it,and i thought it was ok,the kills were a bit tame and hard to see with the motion and darkness,at times it was confusing. i had no expectations of the film, but i...

Re: films we just saw

Take a film thats rough around the edges small on its scale and little known and probably not one of the directors favourite films and remake it and with The Crazies this is exactly how remakes should be done and has been done its a solid piece of genre film entertainment, dispell any worries of tedi...
