Re: Train to Busan
As usual Asia and in particular Korea shows how to do an action movie. World War Z definitely had its arse kicked by this one

Re: Found Footage 3D
I really liked this one. I wonder how it will do commercially as surely its main audience is domestic but no one watches 3D stuff at home even if it works on their TV. Mine does 3D but I've never watched anything on it in 3D. Most people now thoroughly detest 3D at the cinema. i wish them well thoug...

Spending the weekend in a shopping mall without being able to see the late night offerings. Depressing

Re: Lazer Team
I think this will get a good showing, mostly download etc. If it had Adam Sandler it would be in every cinema in the country but thank god it didnt. It was a bit in debt to "The World's end"I thought but I laughed a lot

Re: The Unspoken
This was a complete mess (although I liked the dead dog puppet bit). The loud noises were ridiculously over done and you knew when one was about to happen every time. if the only way to achieve a scare is the equivalent of bursting a paper bag next to someones ear then you are in the wrong business....

Re: The Vatican Tapes
I nodded off so did the two people either side of me. This was bollocks. The usual loud noises to sub for atmosphere, character or tension followed by a textbook shouty exorcism with by numbers, spewing, body going twisty and climbing the walls

Halloween All-Dayer
This was a great idea for those of us who cant switch our body clocks and therefore have never done Halloween before (12 years at the main event though) I was nicely low key and great to be back at the PC. Please do it again The programme was distinctly 2nd rate but I still enjoyed the day and £45 w...

Re: Belly of the Bulldog
It had some very slack moments due to the limited space but had some vision about it but you are right, going back what did they see? What about the bodies in the shed? How badly injured was his leg? Not too bad as he was dancing on the tank. I liked it though. Probably best of a lacklustre day

Re: Have film makers/audiences forgotten the meaning of "horror"?
The last thing film makers want is to make their audience feel really uncomfortable or nauseous as I can remember from coming out of Cronenberg films in the 80's. Horror tends to the generic and safe as it always has. there are still gems which have ideas and engage with the real world. i thought Ba...

Re: Jeruzalem
It wouldnt be a bad idea for FF to get on board the Cultural Boycott of Israeli products. I know its a little unfair on these film makers but its even more unfair on the people having their land taken, water supplies cut off and a fucking great wall built to keep them from their meagre farms

Great to see David Troughton, known to us older viewers as Tony Archer in the addictive radion "ongoing drama"

Re: Tales Of Halloween
I did laugh a bit but it was padded and indulgent. The Christmas effort was far more successful and had some real wit. There was a lot of quite samey stuff in it. Neil marshal should crack on and make an actual film.
