Re: How did you find the line-up overall..?
Not enough full on, balls to the wall horror and too many 'slow burn dramas'. Quite disappointed overall

Re: Bedevilled
Totally surprised by this film as knew nothing about it going in but loved it. Another slow burner which seems to be what the festival was about this year, but great story and characters kept me intrigued.
The pay off at the end was well worth it.
One to check if you missed it.

Re: I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE
Great Holywood remake of a "classic" video nasty. Was nasty in all the right places. Top film.
Re: Monsters
This years 'Heartless' - boring & couldn't see what all the fuss was about. A tedious love story with a couple of giant electric squids thrown in!!

Re: Damned By Dawn
What a waste of time. Poor acting, no budget, no scares!! Surely there must have been better alternatives!
Re: Buried
Brilliant performance by Ryan Reynolds and totally believable. A gripping film which, as has been said previously, is testament to Mr Reynolds & Mr Cortez for making a 90 minute film that only shows 1 guy in a box so engrossing.
A great & worthy replacement

Last Exorcism
Expected the worst and was not disappointed. About as scary as a dose of piles! Quite funny in parts though.

Re: We Are What We Are
Really liked this. Another slow burner but great story and characters and a bit of grue at the end. For me, one of the films I really like to see at Frightfest.

Surprisingly good. Very similar to the first but loads of great action, blood and guts made it a good ride. Jon Harris did a great job. Bringing Juno back didn't really cut it for me and the huge crawler at the end was a bit too much. Minor gripes for a great follow up to one of my top 10 horrors of...
