Re: Films for Frightfest August 2015

I have just watched The Human Centipede 3 through "other means". Let's just say the FF crowd won't be missing out. Terrible film, not a patch on THC1/2. It feels watered down and sugar coated with 'Hollywood' violence. Nothing if any real controversy, certainly not a patch on THC2 in term...

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015

Will the seating plans be optimised for mobile devices with the new ordering system? My iPad doesn't always load seating plans on Ticketmaster (although the Vue site works ok). Thanks.

Carrie musical

Southwark Playhouse in London are currently running a musical of Stephen King's Carrie. The screenplay is closer to the 1976 film with added songs rather than the remake (thankfully), with a few modern updates. The musical first ran in the states back in 1988 but flopped, this is the first time it h...

Re: FrightFest ticketing 2015

I may be wrong, but I get the feeling sleepy queue attendees fall into 1 of 3 categories: 1. Those who go to meet their FF friends and get seats together 2. Those who queue to make sure they get specific seats 3. Those who queue because they don't trust the online system For 2 and 3, if the online s...

Re: FrightFest 2015 dates for you diary

In July, when FrightFesters go to get tickets, they will be placed in an online queue. Once in that queue they will receive a number and an estimated time of getting access to the ticketing site. This way, and I know it may take a little bit longer than previously, the website will not fall over, a...

Re: FrightFest 2015 dates for you diary

Thanks for the update...I think this shows the beauty of this sort of interaction and the frightfest family. As such if there is anything I can do to help, I certainly would be more than happy to do so and I'm sure others will too. To echo MalJutley, if it's a question of enough volunteers running ...

Re: FrightFest 2015 dates for you diary

I've been to see bands that send out an early access website link to people on their mailing list so you get priority access to tickets before casual observers. Is this something FrightFest could consider if there was no sleepy queue? These are free mailing lists which anyone can sign up for at any ...

Re: 2014 All nighter

Is there any more news on the October event yet? I just want to know when the tickets go on sale and the time of the event, as if it finishes too late I need to get a hotel booked.

Well, and the films of course. Fingers crossed for Human Centipede 3 :D

Re: Thoughts on FrightFest @ Vue so far..

Back to reality and back at work, here's what I liked about this year's 'fest: The good: - The cinema as a whole. The brilliant bar area meant meant less crushing to get in and out, and the increased number of toilets meant I didn't queue for the ladies once! Even on the Monday when it was raining t...

Re: Disco screen tickets

Well IMHO the Disco tickets worked much better this year. Yes my man and I queued for about 40 minutes, but that's it done, no getting to the cinema at 8am every day to queue. I was also pleased to chose my seats - at the Empire, if you were near the front of the queue you were automatically given n...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

Where's the love for screen 6?! This was the preferred screen for me and my other half as we really want to see WolfCop and decided that the one we'd rather miss in the main screen was The Last Showing - I want to see Dead Snow and am hoping the TBC film will be something good (although on Sleepy Qu...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

With the Discovery screens, will we be able to choose seats when we pick up tickets? The collecting Discovery tickets system sounds much better this year, I hated spending all weekend in queues last year. Also, not only are there more tickets but because the Disco films will clash with different mai...

Re: How Film4 FrightFest will work in 2014

I got the first train out of Portsmouth yesterday at 4.48am to get to the queue at about 7am, and the experience of queuing this year was much improved for me. To reiterate what others have said, the Vue staff in Leicester Square were brilliant and really efficient. I got the seats my other half and...

Re: Seating

So, anyone know where are the weekend pass holder seats allocated, where are the day seats and where are the press? I'm joining the queue tomorrow with a wide range of preferred seats as I don't know whether the ones we really want will be weekend seats.
