Paul, Ian and I really enjoyed this when it played at TIFF 09 but I know that not all reactions have been so positive... what did the FF crowd think of it?

So, I sadly missed the all-nighter this year due to work commitments and having seen a couple of the films already... but this was the one film that I really wanted to see.

Did it live up to the hype?

Pandorum - very probably the worst film of 2009. This is the reason why Alvart's other film Case 39 got the nod at FrightFest I would imagine!

Zombieland - one of the very best films of 2009. Loved every minute of it - and it's an impressive debut for a first time director.

I mentioned Invitation Only in the suggestions thread ages ago, looked really good from what I remember of the trailer...

I watched it on DVD last week and it is truly awful, one of the worst remakes I've ever seen... and it's a 'remake' in the very loosest sense of the word in that a) it has zombies, b) it has some soldiers, and c) it has a zombie character called Bud who is supposed to be sympathetic.
