"I found it very unconvincing, will there be a re-cut?"
BOOM!!! Old bearded dude laying the smack down after the opening film 'The Seasoning house' . I think everyone was expecting some sort of punchline, but no - he just turned up at the open mic to diss the film makers in front of 1500 people. Just wish he turned up again after Outpost 2 , After and Be...

Re: Tower Block
didn't really like this one, I couldn't get over how far-fetched the main story was and how unlikeable the characters were. There surely must be easier ways to kill everyone on the top floor then what he came up with and were those webcams he put on the guns he put behind the doors? how was he gett...
Re: Chained
I also found the ending worked well. Almost perfect, in fact, as twists go. And as Chary says, it was in keeping with his m.o. to keep the boy, and also a subtle way of getting back at his brother. I do like Vincent D'Onofrio, and his portrayal of the troubled killer was as good as I'd expected, bu...

Re: Big Love To Alan, Ian, Greg & Paul But Seriously ....
As ever, brilliantly organised, the volunteers were awesome as usual, loads of guests and was probably one of the most slick FFs to date. Have to agree with the quality of some of the films, but i wonder if anyone bothered to try out some of the discovery screen films instead? I mean the majority of...

Re: Berberian Sound Studio
I'm annoyed at myself for watching this until the end. Could have gone in so many directions with it but instead it just ended up being a nonsense fest. Showing sound dials with distorted screaming for an hour doesnt equal a good film.
File under pretentious self indulgent try hard crapola.

Re: Discovery Screen
Saw a couple Elevator - Similar vibe to DEVIL, very similar in fact, although without the supernatural aspect to it. Decent enough if its on tv or netflix in future. Guinea Pigs - Cool little film about people subjecting themselves to experiments for cash. All get injected with a serum and chaos ens...

Re: Film times
Yeah im suprised about this too. I was convinced it would be Drac 3D.
and as for old film prints and poor quality - man thats half the charm, something cool about old crappy film reels - bit like an old LP.
Shame.

Re: So, where are you sitting?
N22 for me. Which is more or less the same sort of area I'm in every year. My usual 'crew' have all either blown out due to stag weekends or else only got day tickets due to weddings in other parts of the UK! Really, whoever these people are that are deciding to celebrate their imminent wedded blis...

Re: Ticketing problems
Firstly, let me apologise to anyone who had problems securing passes at the weekend. As bad as you feel it may have been, trust me, it's far better than the days of Odeon and at Prince Charles, where bless their cotton socks as hard as they tried, they only had one telephone line to book tickets on...
