Re: Victor Crowley
This was okay. I don't think any of the Hatchet sequels have come close to the orginal and this one doesn't change that. It was good to see Angela from Sleepaway camp playing a fun character like this. The gore effects seem to have gotten a bit cheaper and the humour more juvenile but it still had i...

Re: Still/Born
This was one I planned on skipping but I couldn't get the discovery ticket. I ended up really enjoying this in the end. There was some quite funny bits of dialogue and some really creepy parts. This was my biggest surprise of the festival, mainly because I expected it to be total shite from the writ...

Re: Killing Ground
I found nearly Every scene involving the baby heart breaking. Terribly grim movie and quite difficult to watch at times, still I would recommend checking it out to anyone that missed it at the festival.

Re: Sequence Break
I was really looking forward to this. I thought it was okay. My biggest problem with it is that not much really happened. The reveal was uninspired and easy to guess. Even the videogame itself was dull. The acting was all solid and the squidgy effects were pretty good, shame it was a bit boring.
Inside
Love the french original so wanted to check this out. Dropped a couple things from the original like CGI baby in the womb keep popping up to illustrate the stress levels. Also didn't have criminal in the back of the cop car who gets taken into the house ( I always found that bit a bit of a stretch t...

Film clash dissapointments.
Now we've all had a chance to go through the full line up and make up our minds on discovery screen films, are there any films you can't fit in to your perfect line up that you're dissapointed at missing due to clashes? For me it's Fashionista, Bad match, Devils gate ( I watched the trailer it looke...

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets
I just looked at the discovery screens too. It looks like the seats available to pass holders are all quite close to the screen. You've obviously got more choice in the downstairs screen at prince charles. But that Cineworld discovery screen is terrible if you're too close to the front, you can't ta...

Re: Thoughts on the schedule so far?
I hear there's going to be two cuts of the new Chucky film. Please tell me we'll get to see the unrated and not the R-rated version.

Re: Thoughts on the schedule so far?
If the films listed as the last ones for each day in the main screen stay that way I'll be very happy. They look like the perfect choices for the late night slot. Either super fun or super crazy, they really are excellent choices.

Re: To Trailer or not?
I've read all the Synopsis and watched as many trailers as I could find, I'll now be skipping almost half the main screen movies to see discovery films. Also some I thought sounded very boring are some of my must sees after watching the trailers. Just check out the trailer for Lowlife, the synopsis ...

Re: Movies For August 2017 Fest
Will the return to Empire mean we get the extra film back on the Sunday? Also with us all back in one screen with one program I hope we get the midnight movie slot filled with the weirdest and craziest films of the festival. I really missed that since the move from the Empire and made sure I picked ...

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets
WOW! This is a bit of a shock. I just hope the main screen movies are of a consistant high quality if there is less to choose from discovery wise. No Hammer of the gods or Shockwave darkside please. With the higher ticket price I don't want to be skipping out of any films because they look shit. But...

Re: Films for Halloween All-dayer?
I thought I was the only one who missed the allnighter. It is a shame they changed the format. Maybe one day they'll go back. It was the one thing that set it apart from their other Frightfest events.
