Great stuff. I'll look out for lanyards in the lifts! The rooms do look good, but I think the photography is very creative as apparently they're very small!

Re: Movies For August 2017 Fest
The trailer for Happy Death Day was released yesterday:
Slated for October 13th release in the US. A light-hearted one, sort of a Groundhog Day/Source Code meets Scream.

Re: Cannibal Holocaust - Shameless Blu Ray
I believe the Shameless release uses the new 'Animal-cruelty free' version of the film that was originally released on the Grindhouse (US) version as an alternative to the true original cut. The BBFC cut this version by a further 15 seconds. So it's a slightly cut, director's approved, new version o...

Re: Discovery Screen Tickets
I think it's a decent compromise. We've been spoiled with availability of Discovery tickets in the last few years due to larger Disco screens. I guess the only option to solve it for this year is to have even more screens (which would jack up the ticket prices further). If it's a trade-off between h...

Re: Shudder
Yeah, I've got a trial at the moment. It has a decent selection IMO, but I could imagine that you would burn through the content fairly quickly if you were a voracious consumer of horror movies. I quite like the way they organise it into themes, and the Shudder TV is neat as it lets you discover fil...

Unlikely, IMO, as it's released on Shudder this month. And he's 17.scoutthehorizon wrote:THERAPY new found footage thriller from 16(!!) year old and 2015 FrightFest alum Nathan Ambrosioni

Nice reminder for me to create a Halloween 2016 sub-forum. Thanks!
Re: Downhill
Thanks for all your juvenile comments Enough of this from here on in please. It's gone beyond lively debate and got personal. We leave this forum largely unmoderated due to the fact Frightfesters are, by and large, grown up enough to respect differences of opinion and character. Any continuation of...

Re: Quality of films this year
I definitely think the Frightfest audience is becoming more discerning in its choice of films. I was in the Horror Channel screen and there were always multiple empty seats for every film, which would suggest that a lot more people were taking the option to dip out and see something different. In fa...

Re: Quality of films this year
I mean, seriously, Shockwave Darkside - who in their right mind would watch that and think "this would be great at our film festival!"? As I mentioned in another thread (may have been this one), Shockwave Darkside was the same production company as Banshee Chapter. The latter had its worl...
