I am really scared of lapdancers and if you want to fund a few trips to some of these establishments and film me... no, no put the phone down.

My favourite at this year's Cannes was 'Rabies', and the one I most wish I'd seen but couldn't was 'Julia X'.

Just barely recovering from the festival now... :)
I'd go catch Rabies at the EIFF if I knew it wasn't gonna be at FF this year.

BEST film of DAY 1

Hatchet 2 delivered the good gory fun expected of it, but Primal was the more original and entertaining film for me. Is anybody voting for Dead Cert? Probably. Different strokes for different folks and all :-) A prize (my eternal impressedness at their brain and bravado) to the person who puts fort...

I'd recommend The St Francisville Experiment as much better than Blair Witch. Are you taking the piss? That Charles Band produced junk. As bad if not worse than The Asylum's Paranormal Entity crap. 1. No. 2. I didn't actually know Band was involved - according to the IMDb he's not credited. 3. Even...

Your Highness, mostly it was 100 minutes of sexual related jokes and over the top one liners. I got to see Natalie Portman looking provocative so I won't be too harsh on the movie. She just has to breathe and she looks provocative. I saw SCRE4M which is alright but a lot of missed opportunities. Sa...

For movie distribution purposes, where would you find SAW in HMV? I had a discussion with my friend who felt many Frightfest movies were not Frightfest movies such as The Girl With... Territories, Rubber, Hobo etc. regardless of their merits as good movies. I asked him to define a Frightfest movie t...

They can travel billions of miles through space. They can decimate and entire world. They cannot see you if you put down the blinds and hide behind the kitchen counter. Awful.

Oooo good answer.

Made the thread a bit short but hey
It's a bit simple but yeah BURIED = thriller but SAW = horror. At least in my view of movie distribution pigeonholing.

I really liked We Are What We Are at FF, one of the best movies I saw - very grim and bleak but it did this very well and acting was spot on (not that I personally know that many Mexican cannibals). I'm winding everyone up by claiming they're vampires because the Father looks at his reflection at t...

We Are What We Are - loved it, are they vamps? Are they mental? I also thought it skipped by I know a lot o' guys and gals at FF thought it was a drag but not at home. I like it as much as Let The Right One In.

I watched Vampyr this weekend which... wow... just wow what a fantastic, creepy movie. They really do not make 'em like that anymore. I say we return to silent movies!

Well dialogue free anyhow.
