[quote="soulmining"]I've seen five films in the last week, not had the new Orange ad at any of them... :( Notes On A Scandal - if you've seen the trailer then you know what to expect, there's no real surprises... but the acting from Dame Judi and Cate is top notch. Horrah back to the Cinew...

So far could the Odeons I've been to have no sucking lemons!! Just parted more Odeon Cash for The Fountain. What a very bizarre film. At times look stunning. There were even times I think I knew what was going on. Then I got all confused again. At times there were elements of Name of the Rose, Apoca...

Just saw Venus. Thought it had Play for Today feel. Two quite different codgers. Peter O Toole totally overshadows Leslie Phillips. Peter O Toole still has the rakish charm and glint his eye. At times did remind me of The Mother which is a really good film. But Venus for me 2 stars Hoorah no more&qu...

Been to see Bobby not with a hangover this time:  Thought it was a enjoyable film. Some rather good acting turns with Demi Moore and Sharon Stone. Lndsey Lohan actually seem more grown up as a actress. Thought Elijah Woods has the most unsettling blue eyes Rather enjoyed the spaced out college...

Just come back from double film fun: Babel. I thought was entertaining but not Oscar worthy. Some stunning landscape shots. Rather enjoyed the Japanese girl story. It is a good change to see Brad Pitt more grown up and not just eye candy. 3 stars Black Book: Well what can I say but excellent. Has pl...

I'd go with the film because a little bit of googling suggests that Joanna Newsom is the singer of that incredibly annoying "Svetlana Sucks Lemons" thing that Orange are using on their "turn your phones off" ads and which I've now heard more times than any sane person should eve...

[quote="soulmining"]Here's my latest batch from the past week... The Last King Of Scotland - proper quality movie! Almost documentary feel from Kevin Macdonald, bolstered by excellent performances from Forest Whitaker and James McAvoy. Really gripping stuff, especially watching the relatio...

Here's my latest batch from the past week... [bPlus there were a lot of shots of Jessica Simpson's cleavage - I'm sure the management wouldn't let her wear tops that revealing if she was really working in a discount store... but hey, who am I to argue? I bet her cleavage did most of the acting!! Je...

Myself and midget gems went to see Perfume - Story of a Murderer. My first film of 2007 Totally agree some of comments. Yep it is a tad long. It is visually stunning and the choral music makes me want to go out and buy the soundtrack. Even though the ending is surreal. You do feel as though you are ...

Watched the Derren Brown live show last night on E4, that whole broken glass routine was really freaky... I'm sure he's a lovely fella but I'm always scared to approach him when he's at FF, afraid of what he can do!! Just get Jimbo to protect you!! Tee Hee! Just been watching 3 episodes of Masters ...

Just watched Night at the Museum. Entertaining fluff. Like the idea everything comes life when Museum is closed. Ben Still is usual funny self. Ricky Gervais is Ricky Gervais. Weird seeing Dick Van Dyck and Mickey Rooney in this. Still they were rather amusing.. Just the love the miniature Romans an...
