Re: GLASGOW FRIGHTFEST FEB 2010

We look like we are having a pretty good Glasgow Film Festival overall (they've only announced the youth festival line up and one film from frightfest so far). The country in focus this year is Japan so we have Ponyo, Neon Genesis Evangelion 1.0 and the UK premiere of 2.0 and a late night showing of...

zombieland - good film, amazing cameo. slo-mo start was a bit annoying but it got much better then tailed off to set up for a barnstormer of a finish. Toy Story - still holds up today, didn't really need to have the 3d treatment but it didn't take away from the film. Up - I cried like a baby on thre...

Price wise and sleep wise I think it works out a lot easier for me to stay in glasgow this halloween. I would have liked to see most of the line up, especially with the frightfest audience. Now have sorted out my alternative halloween - Saturday during the day Glasgow Roller Girls - 2 roller derby m...

Wrong turn 2,

First time i've watched this, enjoyed it much more than the first one. Now attempting part of the commentary, I think i love Joe Lynch.

The 3 times that i saw The Descent in the cinema I felt claustrophobic and i just didn't feel it with this one. I see that others felt it so they managed what they set out to do. I still enjoyed the film a lot though. The chief was an utterly unredeemingly stupid character but you kinda need that in...

Did it occur to anyone else that its kind of 'The Fog' with Nazis guarding their gold rather than pirates or is that too wacky a thought???
That was exactly what i was thinking at the very last scene. I enjoyed this, a nice little no brainer to start the day.

I do have a big birthmark on my face(it's kinda faint so less noticable now than when i was younger) didn't stop me finding the characters in heartless being cliched. As for the Descent 2 girl saying something out of order. Shauna said she thought the director was maybe better than Neil Marshall, th...
