Ok let's go through it the other way by ruling ourselves out. I'll get the ball rolling, it wasn't me. Not me either. It's been two and a half films since i swallowed anything from the SAW franchise. I didn't throw up in the urinals either, I missed that, but by all accounts it was scarier than Par...

just saw Blood the Last Vampire . Even though it's pretty short I still found this film a little boring. The fightscenes were all very good but strung together with very little plot, and although set in the seventies it hardly felt or looked like it. It was quite visually impressive- but not as much...

Did anybody know when things kick off, and if anything is happening before the first film?

Just started Jesus Hates Zombies- a very silly comic, but good clean blasphemous fun.

I've just watched Brian Yuzna's Rott Weiler.
A long way from Re-animator and Society it's a little disappointing, but still has some entertaining moments and comes to a satisfying enough climax.

I I did say "enthusiastic but talentless amateurs" - people who might have a passion for making horror movies but whose passion is not reflected in any kind of ability. This is where the likes of Zombie Women Of Satan resides. If, has been commented earlier, it did manage to stretch itsel...

Saw IV. Dear oh dear. Flashbacks which made this a bit confusing. At times I was chuckling how ridiculous it was getting. Some good deaths but very much a dumb fun film. Wonder next be Saw in 3D or Saw in space. Saw the Musical? The first Saw was brilliant, and the sequel impressed me by managing a...

Personally, I'd place " functionally competent " lower than anything made by amatuers :) I agree wholeheartedly. "functional competence" adds very little to poor films, in fact it merely creates a further veneer of mediocrity. Amateur films, no matter how poor or patchy, have th...

Yep definately 'Splinter'. :)
It's Splinter.
I love that film, closest thing to The Thing since John Carpenter's The Thing.

'Chronicles of Wormwood' from Avatar press has just started it's second mini series. If you haven't read it run to your local comic shop and buy the first trade then get stuck into the new 6 issue mini-series. Written by Garth Ennis, it's good clean fun. I tend to like anything by Garth Ennis, but ...

[1] ZWOS was not an unpolished gem, it was an unpolished turd. (On the basis of the first twenty minutes before I bailed, at least - there was no evidence that it was going to get any better and even if it was about to break through to some kind of quality after the first reel, that it was going to...

Will there be anything as fabulously cheap and trashy as Zombie Women of Satan? I hope not. I don't want to have to walk out of a fest again. What am I supposed to do at that time of night? :) Philestine! (insert appropriate smiley to convey playfull banter instead of personal criticism) Zombie Wom...

Peter Pan is holding my ticket, so i'm in. I'm pretty excited about a new Dead movie and i just saw a trailer for Daybreakers, which did look pretty cool- like a Blade meets Ultraviolet but harder. What can people tell me about the other stuff? Will there be anything as fabulously cheap and trashy a...

I've been on a bit of a Zombie binge lately: Automaton Transfusion this one really disappointed after all the hype i had heard, there are some pretty grizzly and realistic effects, but a bit of acting in the gaps between would have been nice. Wasting Away this unlikely zombie comedy really surprised...
