Accion Mutante definitely - and if you want more from the director of this then try El Dia De La Bestia (The Day of The Beast) - bit difficult to find with English subtitles but well worth it :)

I will certainly look out for that! If it's half as good as Accion Mutante i'm sold.
Do you know whose recommendations i'd really like to hear on this thread?
our elusive friend, le cinegoer francaise.
and i'm not even joking- when it comes to euro-horror she could steer us in some interesting directions.
She must be found!

The original Norwegian version of NightWatch is pretty scary. There is also a great little Swedish slasher film called The Premonition, but you might have to hunt for a copy of that on ebay as I think it has been deleted in the UK.

Frostbite is a Swedish film (and not called Frostbitten as i earlier "miswrote", which is a piss poor Troma film- Long Live Troma!)
It has a very similar sense of comic timing and style of humour to Dead Snow.
Maybe i'm becoming a fan of Scandinavian humour, who'd have thunk it?

I liked Angst, though it's a long time since I saw it and I don't think it's available on UK DVD.

What you can get (albeit cut a little) is DER FAN, which is somewhat unsettling.
