Recent horror movie help

I watched a film about a year ago when a man and woman carjacker hijacked a couple driving a car and drove them to some sort of gas station. Then, and I can't remember why, they get attacked by some infection/monster that can't find them if they're in the cold.

What the hell was it called? I just thought about it the other night and can't remember the name?!

It's Splinter.
I love that film, closest thing to The Thing since John Carpenter's The Thing.
