The Walking Dead TV series
The Walking Dead TV series
Has anyone heard anymore about a release date for this? (US or UK).
I think with Frank Darabont behind it it could be pretty awesome, although still unsure as to why they have cast Andrew Lincoln (Love Actually, Teachers) as Rick Grimes?!
Feel free to post news updates here...

Re: The Walking Dead TV series
I saw they were casting for zombie extras this week, think it was in Ohio.
I'm hoping they keep it hardcore, that comic has guided us through all kinds of emotions and moral decisions for Rick and friends, and after seeing the ending of the Mist,i've every confidence Darabont is the perfect fit.
Zombies are cool, but its all about what the humans do to themselves and each other,a great series.

Re: The Walking Dead TV series
Is it wrong that I'm working my way through the comics but find it a little too predictable?
I'm hoping for a zombie baby birth complete with Umbilical chord bungee

Really? I didn't think it was predictable at all - it's just brilliant. Perhaps reading it as a precursor to the TV series is tainting your Walking Dead experience...
Just give it a go - how far in are you?

Oh, erm I read it in volumes so I'm not sure how many issues are in a volume - I really need to read it all again soon, I've forgotten a lot of what happens...

Re: The Walking Dead TV series
so excited to see the walking dead on screen and delighted they went down the tv series route.
The comics are phenomonal the storylines twist and change and the characters have developed so much, it been one of my favourite comics consistently.
Andrew Licoln as Rick though seems odd, for a generation of us he will always be Egg!

You're scared of mice and spiders, but oh-so-much greater is your fear that one day the two species will cross-breed to form an all-powerful race of mice-spiders, who will immobilize human beings in giant webs in order to steal cheese.

Sky have just signed a deal with HBO so that all their dramas will be exclusive to Sky in the UK for the next five years, it's rumored they are on the verge of a similar deal with AMC (the cable network behind The Walking Dead and Mad Men). So basically if you haven't got SKY, can't get SKY, or aren't planning to get SKY then it's DVD box sets (or less legit routes) or you won't be watching it at all.

Isn't it going to be on FX channel? I looked into how to get it (currently only on FreeView) and I think you can get that channel on some other digital TV packages (TalkTalk, Virgin Media, etc), so not just SKY. But if its not showing on FX anymore, then looks like I'll be missing out (
