Fangoria

Post by xBIGJOEx »

Does anyone here have a fangoria subscription?
If so from them direct or via a uk company e.g. magazinecafe

It seems much cheaper to subscribe from them direct but concerned about how long it may take to get to the UK
You're scared of mice and spiders, but oh-so-much greater is your fear that one day the two species will cross-breed to form an all-powerful race of mice-spiders, who will immobilize human beings in giant webs in order to steal cheese.

I've got a subscription with Fangoria direct and they arrive okay. I signed up on their website.

Yeah, I subscribed to Fango through their website too - it was cheaper than any other method I could find.

A lot of our local newsagents in Brighton sell Fangoria and it's only £4:99 per issue, which is good for a US import mag.

Fango has improved in leaps and bounds this last year.

You think so? I think the uk market is screaming out for a decent horror/extreme cinema magazine and Fangoria nor Gorezone match that demand.

Fangoria has directed me towards many shit movies to the point I no longer buy it and do my own online research

I used to feel the same way but as I said, I feel Fangoria has improved considerably IN THE LAST YEAR. :)

I can't stand Gorezone as it is nothing more now than a lads' mag or some kind of sex mag aimed at curious teenage boys - trying to be some kind of vaguely horror version of NUTS or ZOO.

Have you tried the new UK horror mags Shock Horror or Scream yet?

What kind of films would you want a horror/extreme cinema mag to cover? Are there any magazines from yesteryear that kind of sums up what you think is lacking currently?

If a horror magazine turns up in whsmith/hmv then i'll give anything a read

Still believe in the virtues of a Frightfest magazine though

If I was to suggest what I personally wanted to see it would be Slashers Monthly and I can't see many takers for that. Would like to see an article on extreme horror, top ten most disturbing films and why etc

But like I say, that's just for me
