BBFC Watch: Upcoming Titles
Re: BBFC Watch: Upcoming Titles
Can't wait to see what extras will be on the Serbian film blu ray
During the limited cinema release, you should video peoples reactions and thoughts and put it as an extra on the dvd/blu ray

Re: BBFC Watch: Upcoming Titles
From what I've heard, the US won't be uncut, but we'll see - that may well have changed for all I know.
Capthowdy - where did you see that news?
I had heard the US distributors were planning to self-censor the film for their theatrical release...

It's horrible... I love it... What is it?

Ah - I see, it's here;

Well, to be fair, it only mentions the theatrical release for Feb 2011, not the DVD which I expect will be later. And it's one thing for a distributor to say they plan to release it uncut and another thing for them to actually go ahead and do it..

BBFC Watch: Upcoming Titles
I have to be honest I will buy the cut version to support Revolver for releasing such an important film and likely source an uncut from abroad.

THE MONSTER MAKER (PG, formerly a cinema X in 1954)
THE MONSTER WALKS (PG, rejected in 1932!)
HORRORS OF SPIDER ISLAND (12, rejected in 1960!)

Re: BBFC Watch: Upcoming Titles
BBFC cut the (once banned) Aussie comedy FANTASM by 8m. Mainly for sexual violence. The cuts are twice as heavy as Serbian.
Re: BBFC Watch: Upcoming Titles
Bare Behind Bars (previously banned) now passed with only 1m.35s of cuts.

I saw the Devil passed uncut
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AVV277555
Enter the Ninja passed with over a minutes of cuts
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/CVF029511
Good news though for fans of Revenge of the Ninja as the previous 6 minutes of cuts have been waived
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/BVF021300
I'm eager to see what their decision on Requiem for a Vampire will be.
