A little bit off topic I know but do any of you have an interest in doing paranormal investigations, there is a reason I ask as it's something that fascinates me and after a spooky stay over in the station hotel in Dudley last week it's something i'm looking at doing say once a month

Yeah, we've done a few in the past. Not for a while though. Generally when Halloween rolls around I'm looking to do another lol!

Don't know about any organised events, but when I was growing up in Torquay, lots of us took regular late night stay over visits to the one of the most reported haunted castles in the UK - Berry Pomeroy..

http://www.ghost-story.co.uk/stories/berrypomeroy.html

Mostly it was just going up for having a laugh with a big group of people and having some beers in the wondrous open air midnight splendour of a ruined castle, but I have to say that one night, three of us did go down into the dungeon where the White Lady was supposed to have been held and I swear all three of us saw three strange blue global hovering lights in between us all that I still can't explain to this day. Needless to say, we all got very spooked and ran full sprint back to the car...

Keep an eye out on the Haunted 911 online radio show. It's run by the same guys who've did the TV show and they sometimes feature guests who run investigation activity weekends.

Must admit, I'd love to do more of this stuff myself. I was involved on a research level a few years ago despite being a total coward. The stories I'll leave for another time...

I thought about it, but I'd get scared. I'm a total wuss.

I think if you get a group of 6 or less together and pay around £250, you can still do a 'ghost sit'/sleep-in at Muncaster Castle in West Cumbria: http://www.muncaster.co.uk/

Can't see a link to it but might be worth contacting them if you're interested...I've never done it, but that's mainly because I only live 10 mins away!

I'd love to go to Muncaster, I also want to do the Edinburgh vaults too.

I actually enjoy doing this, the last one we did we left the hotel room to go have dinner, came back to get my top as I was freezing only to find the wardrobe doors had opened on their own. As we turned to go out of the room, something grabbed my colleagues hand and she said it felt like a young child grabbing onto you except the hand was freezing cold, as I went out into the hallway something launched a coin at me, narrowly missing me.

After dinner we spent time in another room and after analysing some pictures, we changed the brightness and contrast on one of them and it appears the shape of a young girl with blond hair dressed in black is stood behind the same person whose hand was grabbed earlier.

We then visited the cellar of the building and whilst most of us saw or experienced nothing, one person played back the audio from the camcorder footage and as we asked if there is anyone here let us know or tell us if you want to leave, as they played the audio back a growling voice appears to say "get out"

That said I vary from chicken shit to sceptic and back again, I try and find answers to situations but some of these I just found hard to explain.

Is it right that one of the screens at the empire has a haunted past, oooh i'd love a few hours down there after dark...
