I think I've managed to watch every film similar in style to the whole found footage device that's out there. A lot of them come nowhere close to Paranormal Activity in terms of suspense, apart from the obvious ones like The Blair Witch Project and [REC]. One I saw very recently at FrightFest was bizarrely another spanish-language horror film called 'Atrocious'. It's a lot more original than the majority of other POV horror films that are out there and I was really surprised by how many genuine scares there were. A great film, definitely check it out if you haven't heard of it. I think it should be out on DVD soon

Re: Atrocious 2011
It is on my rentals queue, since I AM hearing good things about it, but not at high priority since I'm fed up with found footage and POV horror. Increasingly it feels less like a technique of realism or and more like an opportunity for people to make films when they don't actually know how to make films. Having sat through APOLLO 18 and EVIL THINGS in recent weeks I really don't want to see another camcorder movie any time soon. Films should be crafted and the POV style doesn't allow for craft.
