A thesis of mine on the film.

Allegory Of Pandorum
Re: Allegory Of Pandorum
I think you spent longer thinking about Pandorum than the film-makers did.

Re: Allegory Of Pandorum
So what you're implying is that you believe that this film alludes nothing despite the fact that the film-makers themselves stating to be an allegory (I even posted a link to it)? If so care to state your reasons for believing in such a notion?
EDIT: I guess actually you don't have any proper reasoning for that statement.

Re: Allegory Of Pandorum
The intention of the film makers isn't really the point, it is how the film is perceived - as it has been in a specific way here.
Case in point: as a horror film Halloween is very reactionary, however, this was not John Carpenter's intention. He just wanted to make a scary film but also tapped into something else at the time. Stating the fact that the film isn't reactionary because he didn't intend it to be is to completely miss the point.
Good work Devilmayhem

Re: Allegory Of Pandorum
Thank you. But the filmmaker's intend here was not only to be a scary movie but to also rise questions about humanity (dvd bonus content).
EDIT: The director also has a religious background.

Whether you enjoyed it or not is isn't really the subject here.
